It's been a week and I haven't heard anything
I got my approval one week ago today and I am still waiting on someone from Dr. Evansons office to call me to schedule my surgery. I have no idea if it will be days, weeks, or months before my surgery. I am a planner and need as much time as possible!! I am sure they hear this all the time. I am trying to be patient but hope I hear something soon. does anyone know how far out they are scheduling at St. Vincent's ....just wondering.
Time to pick up that phone of yours and let your fingers do the walking! I'd give them a call and ask them to schedule your surgery your letter could be on the bottom of the pile by now with other people's on top of yours.

I agree with Frankie, take the bull by the horns and call yourself. Here is what we forget and doctors ignor; we pay them for our services. With that being said, I don't care if they think I am a pain in the a$$ or not. I get involved because if I don't... no one else will do it for me. Actually, I am not rude about it or anything but, I do think that you need to be proactive on your own behalf because like Frankie said, I am sure they have a stack full of papers and if you call them you will pull yours out in front.
Good Luck and Congrats!!

Call them. I did and they actually already had my date scheduled and just hadn't gotten around to calling me back.

Vickie is awesome about getting back to me, but she is very busy and sometimes things do get lost. When I got my approval, insurance told Dr E's office and never told me until I called to confirm it!! I think I got my date 2-3 weeks after insurance approved me. I do know that if you call and get her voice mail, their voice mail does say that if you've left a message and it's been more than a day or two, press 0 and the receptionist can try to connect you directly. I'd give that a try
Good luck!

I think 4-5 months. I got the call from Dr E's office on Dec 26th, 07 (Merry belated Christmas!!) telling me my date was set for April 2, 2008. Insurance had approved me on Dec 9th. I ended up with bronchitis and a double ear infection on my surgery date, so it was pushed back to April 23, but from approval to my original date was almost 5 months. I don't know if that's still a good estimate though, because I know other people who go from approval to surgery date in 3 or less!
Good luck...definitely give the office a call in the morning and 0 out to speak to someone, explaining that you've left several messages. It could be that Vickie's out of the office and someone else is getting her messages, but can't schedule stuff, I honestly don't know, but it's worth a shot for some peace of mind!
