Lost my job today

At about 12:30 this afternoon my boss and the HR director came to me and said they needed to talk to me. I knew it wasn't good and I could read the look on their faces. After almost 7 years cut backs got me this time. I have been the secretary/receptionist at a place called Health Care Excel. I've seen a lot of things transpire while I've been there and we have lost more than half of our staff company-wide. They have an automated system and I feared that it would effect me someday and it finally did. I know it wasn't my ideal job and I have a Business degree that I haven't utilized since I graduated in 2005 but, when you are receiving a steady paycheck and no room to advance you stay where you are because you are getting paid. There were about 12 of us that got it in all and my boss and the HR director were in tears telling me that they didn't want to lose me. How sweet and I appreciate their words but, that doesn't put money in my pocket so, now I must move on from here. Where to go? What to do? Man, this is scary to say the least! I just ask for everyone's prayers as I know you all will pray that I find something that can come close to what I had and one good thing I guess I can think of it that now, next month when my grandbaby comes, I will be here to help my son and his girlfriend. I have to focus on that event for now because that makes me happy!

I am so sorry - for them! They lost a wonderful person in their business. I know God has better plans for you!  Hang tough girl and remember there is something better out there for you. God never closes a door where He doesn't open a window!!! Keeping you in my thoughts & prayers- for the new grandbaby, too.

Johnna, I am so terribly sorry that this happened to such a wonderful person as you!   I know and I truly believe that the Lord is going to bless you beyond what your mind can conceive.  I will be praying so hard for the Lord to move speedily on your behalf, and not let you feel any loss of finances at all.  I pray that your financial status to remain strong, and that all of your bills will be paid on time, and that your cupboards will remain full to over-flowing!

I am sorry you have to go thru this but the bright side is, you will get unemployment and can enjoy that new grandbaby!  You will find something in due time.  You are a great person and have lots to offer.  I went thru the exact same thing in November.   Today I have a great job in a much better environment!
