Hope everyone has something fun planned today. Me, I'm gonna sleep. I'm struggling to get through my night at work. Thank goodness for an understanding coworker who has let me have a couple of cat naps. I forgot how tired you are in the first trimester.

I'm still in recovery mode.  My mother-in-law is coming to help me take care of my 8 month old today since I'm not supposed to lift anything over 10 pounds.....and she's 22 lbs!  lol  Hopefully, my day will include a nice nap for me!   

I too was also extremely tired during the first trimester.  I just wanted to sleep all the time.  It's amazing how something so tiny can zap you of all energy.  Congrats though!

Hello friends. Today is Maggie's birthday. She would have been 6 years old. Our family believes in really celebrating birthdays. I always made a big production for each kid's special day. Maggie's birthdays always involved reserving a shelter at Hawthorn Park in Vigo County. Every year we would get the Dogwood Shelter, which is right near the playground and bathrooms. I would decorate in whatever the year's theme was, and Mike would grill up food. He would make a big decorated cake each year, also in the theme. Last year it was "Tinkerbell". We had a pinata each year too. We would plan way ahead of time. I had already made the reservation with the park department for this year, before the accident in February. We ended up cancelling it. It would have been to hard to go this year.

Today we are going to lunch with our families. We are going to acknowledge Maggie's birthday somberly. I will be glad to share with them, as I am with you, that Maggie saved four lives this year. One of her kidneys didn't take, but the other four recipients are doing well and thriving. She is my "Maggie Miracle". I bought potted mums to give to our family who are coming to be with us today, that they can have something to take back and remember.

Many days I still feel like I'm just not strong enough to do this. I guess about all I can do it breathe deeply and take another step forward.

Linda, I am so in awe of you.  You are the strongest lady I know.  You have had such tragedy in your life - more than most of us will ever know, and you come through on the other side.

Celebrate the miracle of Maggie's birth, and the miracle that was her life, and rejoice in the miracles she did for others.  Celebrate that you were honored to have been her mother.

Happy Birthday Maggie!! Linda, you are such a strong woman and you are honoring Maggie in an awesome way. You do not always have to be the strong one. Lean on your family and they will help you through this day.

My heart goes out to you and your family today. I hope that you find peace in God's arms today. Maggie I am sure is watching over you and thanking Him for the chance to be your daughter as well. You are a beautiful soul and a strong lady. Know that I will be praying all day for you to have peace and strength to celebrate the much to short life of your daughter.

To the rest of you, hope your weekend is good. My three year old granddaughter has been here all week and I have ran and played unlike I have ever been able to do. RNY is such a blessing in my life. Thank you God for giving me this chance to live again!
