I need suggestions for South Bend, Indiana restaurants.  This will be for a group of ladies meeting for lunch on a Friday. We'd like a place that is local and non-franchised. Mid-range lunch price. No jungle gyms for kids to play on. WiFi would be nice. Easy parking. Plus we don't want to be rushed out in 30 minutes. Ideas?

Thanks,
DeeDee

LOL ... I can't believe no one can give me a recommendation for a place to eat in South Bend, Indidana.  I'm wondering if we picked some hole in the wall, one horse town to meet up for lunch.  It was kind of the "half-way" mark but I'm wondering if there is anything there!?!

Com'n, does anyone have suggestions other than find another town?

There are alot of places to eat on Grape Road in South Bend.  I don't live there but went to Notre Dame for a Masters Degree.  I know there is an Olive Garden, Mexican places, Steak places.  Probably would be best to do a Google search.

Sorry I can't be more help.

Thanks.  I always try to avoid franchise restaurants when traveling.  I can eat at Olive Garden at home.  I love trying to find a restaurant that the locals love and recommend.  They always turn out to be so much better and Google just doesn't give that kind of insider info.  Maybe someone else will see this who is local and knows a good spot.
