Good morning all...

Yesterday, I tried my best to respoind tothe day's thread as well as a few others and the darn thing just wouldn't let me. I decided today to be sure I posted before I left for work!

Many congrats to those who just had their surgery.

Also, many condolences to those who have had losses recently..including Christie & Wally.

I talked with Tiffany yesterday and she has a major sinus infection going on...and having to work open to close all week by herself. Poor kid. That's a hard enough schedule when you feel good. I know she is really looking forward to Sunday (she's worked since Monday...and that's a 12-14 hour day).

Well..didn't win the lottery so I better get it in gear. Bill has an eye appt. this afternoon so at least it'll be a short day.

huggs!
Sherri

I feel for Tiff, seems I also have a sinus infection.  I am hoping to get to see my PCP tomorrow while I am off work and get an antibiotic.  I am having vertigo really bad too.

I haven't been doing as well as I should when it comes to my eating habits.  I am vowing to start today so I thought I would post to help keep myself accountable.  Is there anyone that would like to be my accountability buddy?

My car is in the shop so I have a loner.  They had to do 22 pages of repairs to do to the brakes on my car.  They worked on it all day yesterday and didn't get finished.  It is aggrivating to pay the big bucks for a car and then have 22 pages of repairs from the factory.  The loner car reeks of smoke, as a reformed smoker I can't hardly stand that.  I am trying to remain greatful though as I have gone many times in my life without anything to drive at all.

Peace and Love to You All
Jeannie

Jeannie, you poor thang. I had vertigo once from fluid behind my ears and OMG!! It was the most horrible thing. I had been taking a nap and when I woke up and tried to sit up the whole room in front of me turned upside down. I kid you not! It was like a movie or a bad acid trip (which I wouldn't know anything about, thank god) but, it lasted pretty full on for a week and continued slightly for about a month. The doc put me on something and it took a long time to help. I hope I NEVER get that again.
I will help you be accountable because I too have been having difficulties and since I went for my check up on Tues, I have done really good. Like, today... I had a cup of decaf, a slice of meat and cheese on one piece of bread for breakfast (it was a left over sandwich and sounded good). Then I had a drinkable yogurt, 1/2 oz of cheese and half an apple for a snack. For lunch I had a bowl of green beans, the other 1/2 ounce of cheese and the other half of apple. So, here only two hours since, I am hungry again. I know its not head hunger because I have been eating bigger meals and so my tummy is expecting more. That makes me angry because I was so good at eating small amounts and being satisfied. So, today I feel better than yesterday and I just put a piece of gum in my mouth and it is helping with the cravings. I have a protein bar that I am waiting to eat before I go home because I go home starved. That way for dinner I can eat very lightly. Girl, remember and don't ever forget that you need to keep yourself in check and why? For YOURSELF. You look so great and have come so far and soon your sister will be right there beside you to help. I just know that you have inspired her so much. COME ON NOW>>>>> YOU CAN DO IT!!!  Want to do the 5 day pouch test with me? I've been thinking about it.
Be Well  : )

Good Day Sherri

Good Day Everyone,

Went to the CDI to see a spinal specialist to have an MRI and talk about my options for pain control. My MRI showed a torn, ruptured, bulging disc in my mid lower back so that's where he wants to start treatment first to get the pain undercontrol. My first block will be on the 31st (wich is also my 4 yr band=aversery) & then again on Sept 8. Every seven days till we find an amount that will control the pain. He also thinks if the majority of my back and hip pain is the disc and not RSD that surgery can fix the disc, AMEN! After pain control on my back and hips we'll then start on my legs and hips & then when that's somewhat controled then my forearms. He seemed really optomistic about getting pretty clear to being pain free - what a wonderful thought since I've been in high flucations of pain since this all started in 1998. He also said he'd fax a letter of medical necessity for my visit w/Dr Bergman on Monday concerning my panni removal, contouring, and tummy tuck. That extra frontal weight does NOT help that bad disc at all.

I hope everyone survived the storms throughout the night - unforunately for me they kept me awake most of the night due to increasing the intesty of the pain.

Also the new doc wants my current pain specialist to work  with this Fibro specialist that he knows since some of my RSD symptoms can memic Fibro.

I'm so thankful for ALL the doctors and specialist that I've seen in the past two years that have help me get back on the road to recovery and better health. Thank Dear LORD for opening the pathes and doorways for me AMEN.

Stay dry and blessed everyone

I have a few minutes, so wanted to drop in and do some posts.  Spent the morning at the funeral home getting everything set up.  The visitation and services are tomorrow.  We wanted to do everything in one day so as to not prolong it for my MIL.  (not to mention DH and his sisters)  This way the hospice chaplain that has been so close to him can do the service - he wasn't available Saturday due to a commitment with his son.

I was surprised, but on such short notice we were able to arrange a military honor guard.  I'm so glad, as that was something Dad really wanted.

DH spent last night updating the website - if you looked at it before, you might want to check out the first page updates.  It's really nice.

Got to pick up my other SIL at the airport in a bit - her flight comes in at 4.  Haven't had a lot of sleep.  At 1:00 this afternoon, I realized I hadn't even eaten anything yet.  Yikes!

Visitation for the family begins at 10 tomorrow morning, followed by visitation for everyone from 11-1, and then the funeral is at 1 at Flanner & Buchanan Decatur Chapel on Kentucky Ave.  Close to home at least.  Burial is in Martinsville's Hilldale Cemetery.

Sherri - I feel for Tiff.  I have a humongous sinus infection myself.  Yikes - I can't imagine her working those long hours with one.

Hello to everyone else - sorry, I'm just a little rattled right now.

Love to you all
