Got my approval...now what????

My insurance faxed a copy of my approval to my surgeons office (Evansson) today....what can I expect to happen next.  How long can I expect it to be before I actually have my surgery.  I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ready to get "the show on the road"!! 

Personally, I'd call and touch base tomorrow with their scheduler and make sure they received it. Then it won't take long for them to set you up with a date. Not sure how far out they are scheduling, but once your surgery is scheduled, you will also be scheduled for your pre op class and pre op testing. Hang in there, you'll be on the loser's bench before you know it!! Congratulations.

Congratulations on your approval! When I got approved, everything moved quickly for me. That was mostly because Dr. Inman's office knew before I did! I have heard other folks on here complain about waiting for getting surgery scheduled. That can be frustrating, I'm sure. My surgery was about a month after they called with the date. I had alot to do. I had pre-op testing, pre-op class, and I had to fit in 4 support groups. (The psychologist said I had to attend 4 to qualify, so I was driving all over the state!)

I have never posted, but I guess I am at the same point you are.  I had my last appt. on the 4th (met my insurance requirements), but we got the approxal in 2 days, versus the month we were expecting.  I was shocked, but so happy - I am so ready for this.  I saw my surgeon monday, and am scheduled for September 28th.  I have found so much helpful information on here.

I am just trying to guestimate when my surgery will be?  I don't know if I am looking at weeks, or months, by the end of the year, first of the year, etc?  I can't get the girl that schedules the preops and surgery to call me back.
