I had my surgery on Friday and was released yesterday morning.  Doing good with everything except the calcium.  I've taken Viactiv up until the surgery.  I have some blueberry calcium citrate chewables but they make me gag everytime I try to eat them.  Have to get that figured out.  Otherwise things are great.

Hey, glad to hear you are home and doing well.  I was thinking about you over the weekend.  Take care and keep us informed on your progress and next surgery.

Huge hugs,

Dawn I am glad to hear you are doing ok.  I think I have those same blueberry calcium chews, I loved them up until I had surgery then they became ewwwww.   I got them at the health food store.  I have them stored in a pull out drawer and every time I pull that drawer out I gag lol.  Have a good day!

Dawn,

Bring me up to speed! I think I missed some posts of yours. The last I heard, you had to have the bladder biopsy and kidney scope...and was really, really hoping to be able to get your revision still by the end of August. Were they able to go ahead and do the revision then? What happened with the bladder & kidneys?? It sounds like you are doing good and for that, I'm grateful to God for!!

Hmmmm.....blueberry chews. Those, I've never tried! The new chocolate ones that are out are..ehh....okay. The lemon ones though I think are really yummy. The tablets that are dissolvable are chalky to me. I think Bariatric advantage has them all. You can order them through BJSBariatric.com. Use the code 'IndyOH' and recieve a 5% discount. Bob will deliver orders for free in the north/North-East portion of the Indy area. If you aren't there, but can meet on the southside (near Gail's) for lunch sometime (or I can drop it off at Gail's if you'd prefer), you can put my address down & save a few bucks on the s&h.

Congrats & glad you are doing well!!

Sherri

Dr Lingeman.....the urology specialist and Dr Huse discussed it and decided to get me back on the surgery schedule as soon as possible for my revision.  I have an infection and some sort of bacteria that Dr Lingeman has to treat before he can do my kidney surgery.  So Fran called me Wednesday afternoon and told me to be at the hospital on Friday morning.

I will check into the calcium.  I'm so used to the Viactiv that all the others just don't seem "right" to me.  The blueberry ones came from a health food store.  Even thinking about them makes my stomach turn.  lol

I've been told to take calcium citrate.  After the surgery we don't absorb enough calcium from the calcium carbonate (Viactiv type).
