Hey there everyone. Hope you all had a nice weekend. We did, but it was too fast. I worked Fri night, then Saturday we went to my sister's for a cook out housewarming party. My entire family came to town and we told them about the baby. While they were a little concerned about how the pregnancy would be affected by my surgery, they were all thrilled.

Then Sunday, we drove to Fort Wayne for my FIL's surprise 75th birthday party. We told my inlaws at the party and they were so excited. My FIL (who doesn't usually say much) said, "we were just talking about being sad that there wouldn't be any more babies in the family." My mother in law can't wait to have another grandbaby.

I was so happy that the news was so well received. My mom even told me she couldn't wait to go to work and tell everyone. I'm working Sunday and Monday night, then off til Friday. Looking forward to a little one on one time with Zach this week. Thought we'd even do the zoo one day.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning all...

Back at work. I have lectures from 8-11 this morning. It's going to make it a LOOONNNNGGGG morning! They aren't here in our building though so we all get to take the company bus over to it & back..and they are supplying lunch to us. So...really can't complain. I'll be away from my desk from ~7-1. You KNOW I'm going to get a whole lot done from 1-3:45, right? lol. Not! I'll get some reading done probably but that will most likely be it. And get this...it's a job requirement for our entire department to go.

I made up a large batch of salsa yesterday. Not too bad. Bill & I each ate a big bowel of it. I had added pineapple to it. I had a fresh one...and then I remembered some frozen pineapple that I had. While I was looking in the freezer for it, I also found two bags of peaches. Since I see alot of store salsa with mango in it...and not a huge leap from mango to peaches, I added them too. It ended up tasting pretty good but I think it will improve even more as the spices have time to get more into the fruits...and they have time to release their natural sugars. I brought a jar of it here to work. Let's see if who-ever that has been helping themself to my sugar-free jams will enjoy it too. lol. No...I still didn't get my herb bed weeded. I was worn out by the time I got everything done in the kitchen yesterday. I had bought some new dishrags that I really like. Bill asked me 'Aren't you going to move the old ones to the 'rag' cabinet?'  I was like..'yes, but not today. I'm tired.'. Today, I can tell that I did alot. I've got tender tummy muscles.

You all have a good day today!

ps...Melissa...I'm so glad all went well in telling the families. When do you see your doc?
