Good morning everyone!

Well.. I out-shopped my granddaughter! LOL! Poor child was snoozing in her booster seat. I think we got all the kids a good start for the school year anyway. Peggy...I picked up my grandson a bookbag to tie him over until we can get together for the one he really wants. lol Besides that, the hardest item to find was big pink erasures! I think most of the IPS teachers have two packs of these on their lists!! We finally found them at Walgreens! Who...also had their $9.99 bookbags at 2 for the price of 1. I picked up a few spares!  We didn't get home in time for Bill & I to go to Kitley's races. I love going there, but I didn't feel like a late night so I'm not upset by that.

Today...I have some kitchen-stuff things to do and if I feel up to it, weed my herbal bed. Right now, my muscles are saying I outshopped my body, so we'll see. I just know I don't want to start my workweek tomorrow being sore and tired. I did that last week and paid for it all week.

You all have a good day today!

I love shopping for school supplies.  It is fun.  I usually volunteer to take the grandbabies supply lists and do all the running.  Didn't get to this year though - too much else going on, but did pay for them.

My FIL was transferred to the nursing home Friday.  He's on hospice care.  At this point, they would be surprised if he survives the week.  We've been told that his passing can come at any time.  So, we're sticking close to home.  DH is at the nursing home now with his mom and sister.  The sister from NYC is flying in tomorrow morning.  His other sister from NJ isn't coming - not surprised.  In the past 25 years, she's been here twice.  I couldn't go up today as I am running a temp again.... grrrr.  Not as bad as last night though - this one is just low grade.  Last night I was up to 101 again.

Need to do laundry, and find something that fits to wear to work tomorrow.  I used to have the opposite problem - trying to find something that wasn't too tight.... now I have to find something that's not too loose!!

Have a good Sunday everyone.

I am sorry to hear about your fil. I hope he is comfortable. I go back to work today. My two days off go by way to fast. I have been refinisheing some furniture. I got the idea in Shipshawnna{sp?} I am painting my end table and rocking chair black and then  stenciling some flowers. It is a cheap way to redecorate and fun. Have a good week. Lisa, One can never have too many cloths or shoes! Wendy

I got this in an email this morning... it touched my heart and I thought Id share it.

Subject: Garbage Truck Law  (This is awesome!)

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport.  We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. He was really friendly.  So, I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!' This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'
He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets. The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day.
Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so....Love the people who treat you right.  Pray for the ones who don't. Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!
