Has Anyone Tried Muscle Milk?

I have to admit that I'm really extremely lax when it comes to breakfast. I always have been & with the band I'm always so tight in the mornings that I can't consume hardly anything. I found this stuff called Muscle Milk at our local market & was wondering if anyone has had this, tried this, is using this? I was at a stall for about a month because I couldn't get my fluids and protein in... now that I use this I've started loosing weight. Nearly 16 lbs in 2 weeks 3 days. It comes in Vanilla, Banana Creme (my favorite), Strawberry creme, Chocolate (tastes like raw chocolate), & chocolate malt. Nutrion Facts: One 14oz bottle is one serving. 220 calories, 3g sugar, 25g Protein. Calories from fat are 80. It is advertised as a nutritional shake & lactose free.

I'm really using these as my "breakfast" and was just wondering if anyone else had heard of them and so forth. And if anyone hadn't to see if their stores carried them if they were to be interested in them. They are semi expensive @ $2.99 a bottle. But... I think well worth it if you aren't normally a breakfast eater and would use these as a meal subsitute.

Blessings
Jodi

I have tasted the chocolate and vanilla creme but I use the Muscle Milk Light, It is only 100 calories and the ones i have used are 15 grams of protein. I like it really really cold. I admit I put it in the freezer and sometimes forget it and it forms either ice crystals or freezes hard. Yesterday I had left it and it was the chocolate one so I ate it with a spoon and it was the consistency of a frosty. They are semi okay. I can tolerate them. I found mine at Wal-mart along with the other protein. and they are (I think 5.97or maybe 6.29 for 4) which isin the range of  1.50 each. a little steep for me but for a good protein source and only 100 calories I will use it as a treat at times

Weird, I can't find them in our local Walmart. I never thought about semi freezing them to slushie! Hmmm, good idea, thank you. I didn't even know they came in a light.. thanks for letting me know that info.

But yes, pricey, but a good forum of protein if you need it.

I have had the Muscle Milk light which I like and my husband had all the flavors in the regular muscle milk and he likes them too. I am like you sometimes breakfast just disappears before I know it so they are a nice and easy alternative. And tasty too.

I can tolerate them as well.  I got a bargain at the local GNC.  They had the light chocolate for$1.14 and when I talked to the clerk about them he sold them to me for 74 cents each.  I bought them all.  You might try GNC to see if you buy them in bulk you can get a discount.  I also found them at my local Wal-mart.  They are in the pharmacy section with all their protein, etc.  It specifically says on the container not to freeze.  Not sure if it changes the way your body absorbs or what.  May want to do some research on that before you continue.

I thought I needed to know since I have used this a couple of times and by accident I let it set too long in the freezer to get REALLY REALLY cold and it froze. So I sent an email directly to Cytosport the makers of Muscle Milk and this is their response

Thank you for the email! I am glad the muscle milk is working so well for you! The chemical make up does not change at all when it freezes! So it is totally fine to let it that and drink! Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with!

I drink muscle milk too.  I like the light chocolate mint.  I actually first found it at Meijer in Carmel.  It comes in powder form too and it's less expensive that way.  My grocery store carries the regular kind in strawberry, chocolate and chocolate malt (ready to drink).  I grab one every now and then when I'm in a pinch.  I really like the banana too but have to travel to find it.

Congrats on the weight loss!  That's always a perk.

I almost always start my day with some form of protein drink (either powder or ready to drink).  I have found the Muscle Milk to be drinkable.  After reading some of thee posts, I think I'll try freezing some!  Does anyone find the MochaJoe flavor in light?  It's really good!
