Gas

Gas, not the kind you buy from a pump, seems to be one of the little things we WL people have to deal with. Sometimes I know which foods cause the problem, sometimes out of no where it is tooting time. Has anyone one found a good product that helps with the problem? Gas x or something like that?

Same problem, no solution.  Let me know if you find something that works.  My family, friends and co-workers would surely appreciate it.  I even paid $18.00 for a bottle of Devrom, the internal deoderant.  Not realy happy with the results.

Time for a funny story.  I was tending the nursery at church one Sunday and it was just me and little Gracie.  Gracie, at 18 months, always had her pacifier in her mouth and played quietly I didn't think she was talking yet.  Well...I got a sharp pain and I had to do what I had to do.    RRRRIIIIIPPPPPP!   Gracie looked at me, popped her pacifier out of her mouth and asked, "You poop?"

I had to tell her mom (who then told EVERYONE) because I knew Gracie was not going to cover for me.

Perhaps I should try the GasX strips.

One of the girls in my support group says "gas x strips saved my marriage!"  I am thinking they should be an official sponsor of WLS Clinics.  LOL

Let it rip!  There is more room out than in and it dont hurt near as much.

Huge hugs

I'm with everyone else - if you find something that works, share with me!!

I am grossing out my husband and grown son, and that's saying a lot... not to mention my coworkers fanning the air when they walk by....  and it smells SO much worse since surgery!!  Yikes!

I'm with the other ladies. GasX strips are WONDERFUL! No waiting for a pill to disolve, no trying to chew a pill or gag down a liquid.
Also, I try to limit my artificial sweetners. If I eat sugar free popsicles, I avoid the powder stuff in my drinks.

Take a look at your calcium supplements.......

I love the Bariatric Advantage chewy bites and have also used the chalky version from BA & Celebrate.  I had some oral surgery last week and thus have not been able to use those and went back to the standby of Citrical calcium Citrate pills.  Almost immediately upon switching to the pills I noticed a big improvement in the gas problem.

Gas X & Beano worked a bit for me, but nothing like moving to the calcium pills.  I tried the Celebrate chalky calcium tonight for the last calcium of the day and I can already tell a difference......

I will probably use what I have left of that stuff on weekends and once it's gone just stick with the pills....shame too cause i really like the chewy bites (though they are too expensive!)
