What about Juicing?

Hi all!!

I have a question about juicing.  Before my surgery I bought a professional quality juicer, and since surgery it hasn't been used. My surgeon has recently passed away, so I need to turn to you for help and advice......  Now that I live in the land of fresh veggies (came from Alaska....) I'm thinking of making some veggie juices and adding some of the unjury no flavor protein powder to it... does anyone know of a reason why this would not be a good idea?

thanks for your help!!

Lori I recently met with my nut at my one year follow up appointment.  We discussed ways to add more veggies into my diet because I suffer constipation.  I think its a perfect way to add veggies.  I am really sorry to hear about your surgeon, they tend to become like our new found best friend after surgery, I am sure you will miss him.

I do not see a problem in making your on veggie juice, I try to drink V8 sometimes to help me to get my veggies.

Hi Lori...

Juicing is the bomb!  BUT...be careful with carrots and beets...they are YUMMY to juice and great for you, but really high in sugar.  Start with a smaller amount and work your way up to tolerance.

Thank you all for your answers!  I am going to dig that puppy out and give it a go!!  Time to hit up the farmer's markets!!

And yes, it is hard to not have him here to go directly to for questions.  Even harder knowing he took his own life when he gave life to so many people!!!

Thanks again,

Lori
