Message from Terry

Hey all, got a voice mail message today from Terry from about 3:30pm. She was on her way back to the VA, behind the ambulance taking Lyn to the ER. She said last night his breathing got really bad again and his oxygen levels dropped significantly despite oxygen. She had her son in law (he works at a lab) run a CBC and Lyn's white blood cell count had jumped again (indicating an infection).

She sounds weary friends. She knows she is faced with difficult dcisions. She shared with me that she will probably make him a no code (no cpr), but wants to continue treating infections and continue feeding him. "I don't want him to suffer."

Please keep them both in your prayers. I'm going to try to go up and visit her tomorrow. If anyone would like to come, let me know.

I am really sorry to hear this news.  Please share my love and concern with Terry when you see her.   They both have been through so much, she has really been a strong person and a wonderful wife for Lynn.  I pray for them both.

Melissa, Thanks for keeping us up to date on Lyn's condition.  I've met both of them and they are beautiful people.  This has to be so very difficult for Terry.  I'm praying for both of them.
