doctors in Bloomington who prescribe phen? Adipex, etc? HELP!

I don't qualify for surgery, and even if I did, I can't afford it.  I have tried so hard to lose weight for the past year, but I seem to keep putting it on.  The doctors I have don't seem to care.  I had success in the past with phentermine, I took it safely, and regularly, and had no problems with the "habit-forming" side of this drug.  I can't seem to find a doctor who prescribes it, however.  Does anyone know of a good doctor in or around Bloomington, IN who prescribes phentermine?  It would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Hey, yeah, I don't know if you knew this or not but Ratts and most who worked for him were actually busted by the FDA.  He was who I used to get Adipex from.  I want to get it from someone who actually monitors it safely this time, though.  When I moved to Bloomington he was who a friend recommended so he was who I went to, wasn't aware of his reputation as the Candy Man.

I don't know any doctors in that area, but wanted to tell you that everyone I know who have tried using Adipex for a second time, it was ineffective. I hope it works for you, but didn't for me and several friends when we tried it for a second time.

Thank you for the information.  Do you have any other recommendations for someone who doesn't qualify for the surgery, but desperately needs to lose weight?   It's not my thyroid, I stock my pantry with only health foods, minimize my calories, and I'm in the gym  (almost) everyday.  I'm so frustrated!

Talking to your family Dr and getting an appointment with a nutritionilist seems like it would be the best way.. Adipex works only short term and isnt all that healthy.. been there done that that is why I had WLS...

I DO know from WLS that limited portions, High protien, lots of water and exercise is t he only way to loose weight. AND I know thatif you dont eat your body will save it and go into starvation mode and you wont loose... it is balance.

I saw Piatek and had some serious issues with the way he manages things. My family doctor was willing to prescribe it and monitor me. Plus it was way cheaper to buy it through a regular pharmacy than through Piatek.

Yep cheaper thru your Dr and drugstore... but most of our Drs wont prescribe it... mine wouldnt. So I went to Piatek.. I knew Piatek when he was an ER Dr at Danville YEARS ago.. he said he got tired of treating heart attacks and other weight issues when he could try to stop it before it got that far.. It is big business for him and is run like a weight loss mill and you do seem to get lost in the masses... but she didnt ask for quality... she asked for a name.. 18 months worth of trying cost me $3000+. But I got copies of every reciept and put it in my request for surgery as proof I tried and it didnt work.
