Hiya! I'm in TH. I personally didn't find the St. V. local support group real helpful. It's so big. Alot of people trying to meet their requirements on the days I went. Shrug. Maybe we OH'ers in the area should have a get together. I would be game.

Yeah, the St.V's support group is too large. I will have to check the Union Hospital one out. I didn't know they had that one. Forming our own is a good idea too. I'm game as well.

I am certainly up for joining a group.  However, I'm a newby.  My first consult is on Thursday.  Plus, I'm new to this area and would love to know others who are going through/have been through this.

Linda, How did you like Dr. Inman?  I'm meeting with her on Thurs.  Originally I was scheduled to see Dr. Diaz in Dr. Jones' office, but I switched because Dr. Inman does DS and that's the surgery that I seem to be leaning toward.

Hi everyone,
I am two weeks now post op and am looking for a group to go to. I need answers and support so I am going to have to try one of the ones you talked about out. I live in Terre Haute near Ivy Tech so either one will be a drive but well worth it I am sure. Please let me know what time the one at Union meets so that I can go!

Hello! My name is Jeff Eller and I am the facilitator for the Clarian support group that meets at the Landsbaum Center on Union Hospital's campus each month. The meetings have been moved to the first Tuesday of every month at 6pm.  I have been to the ST V  meeting and laura hastings does a very nice job but as stated in several other posts it is a rather large group. Our group usually has around 12-18 people come and we just sit around and discuss issues that people are having. We would love to have you come as we have people as far out as 4years(me) and several that have just had surgery so you can get a lot of different perspectives. We don't care if you are a StV patient a Clarian patient or out of state patient we are just glad to have people come for support.
