Saturday

Good Saturday morning my fellow Hoosier Losers.  I am up and at em getting ready for work.  Not going in until 7 today so I have time to kill, probably will have an extra cup of coffee (decaf).  My son came down and stayed a good while last night then he took my younger son home with him so they could go to Ohio today to some convention in Columbus.  I didn't sleep well last night and will have a miserable day today for worrying about them, I tried making excuses why they shouldn't go but it didn't work lol.

  I bought a really good cantaloupe at Walmart that I cut up yesterday, don't think thats a good idea for me because I kept going back to it all day until I had ate damn near the entire thing.  Probably another reason I didn't sleep well, feeling guilty about the stupid cantaloupe.

i am up way tooooooo early this AM after not going to sleep until after 2am...but i wanted to sleep longer...but my bladder just insisted that i get up and start movin'!!! arghhhh!!! gettin' older sucks sometime!!! LOL  dear santa...can i please get a catherer for Christmas!!! NOT!!!
anyway...hubby's still sleepin...ill let him sleep since i made him stay up w me and rub my back and shoulders....MAN!!! are they ever hurting and my armpits too...i figured this is from where the surgeon had to open me up extra wide...im not gonna lie..it hurts like hell!!! arghhhhhhhhhhhh!!! my pain patch and pills arent even touching this pain and its really making it difficult to breathe...
i was so upset yesterday, i just started crying and told aaron that if i have to live in pain like this and not be able to breathe...i dont wanna live...it hurts soooooooo bad!!! i use to think i was a strong woman, but not after this surgery..i feel like a true wimp b/c i just can't shake this pain.

my bff is having a yard sale w/ her fiance today and i am their MOH so, i thought i might have aaron take me out for a drive and see them for a few minutes @ their yard sale...

Have you contacted your surgeon's office about the pain? You should...especially if the pain meds aren't taking care of it. Has the pain been the same since surgery? Or is it worse/better now? If you are having difficulty breathing, please, go straight to the ER. With you being post-op and not as active as normal, you could have a blood clot in your lung. It doesn't take much of one to make it difficult to breathe. If your pain has gotten worse or if this is new pain, please go to the ER and get checked out. I would guess it would be hard for you to get hold of your surgeon on a Saturday but if you call his office, you should be able to get hold of his service...who will contact him or his on-call for the weekend. Don't just try to tolerate the pain though. The more you do that, the more you'll tighten up..and the worse the pain will be.  Pain is what tells us that something is wrong....especially when it is more pain than your pain meds are able to handle.

Good morning!

Well..one week later and I FINALLY feel human again! Bill & I have a ton of running to try to get done since we weren't able to do anything for the past week. I had gotten in my topsy turvy's last week and I got the 2 tomato stands put together last night. Today, I want to go get the plants for them & for the 4 strawberry/herb turvy's. It's suppose to be nice tomorrow so that'll be a good Sunday project for me.

Jeannie..don't you just love summer with the fresh fruit??? We have a fruit stand a few blocks from the house and I've stopped in there a few times already...2 cantaloupes and 2 seedless watermelons each time. I got Bill some plums & me some peaches last time too. If I'm going to have munchies, I'd rather it be watermelon I'm popping in my mouth than ice cream. I can't say I've done a whole melon/cantaloupe in a day...but I can certainly understand wanting to! Don't feel guilty over it. At least it was a healthy alternative. It wasn't that long ago that we'd eat a whole bag of chips and not feel a twinge of guilt. Hehe...just don't run to Walmart every day..lol.

OK..time to get dressed & get busy!
