52 lbs lost before surgery!!

Well..another day at home. On the bright side, my throat is feeling better (still looks swollen, but it doesn't hurt like it did). My neck/glands are better too. My shoulders still feels like they have been overworked. Really, my worse problem right now is my tummy. Man, does it hate antibiotics. It seems like if they aren't spazzing out, they are bloating (my waist had hit a high of 43.75" with this!!). When I'm not on my recliner, I'm on the toilet. I really, really hope that this reaction to antibiotics isn't so severe after my surgery. Anyway, I'm home today...again. Tomorrow is my last work day of the the week. I don't look to make it in there just by how I feel right now. So folks...if you get a sore throat, RUN to the doctor and get it checked out right away. I waited a day. I wish I hadn't.
I hope you all have a good hump day.

ps...I hope Jacqui posts pretty soon about Holiday World. If anyone sees her, please ask her to.

I went home too, with no more high blood pressure and its been normal ever since. I also didn't need my sleep apnea machine anymore when I was 1 mos. out. The amount of medication I use to take compared to what I take now has decreased dramatically.

Hey everyone... not much new here...
In some dental pain. I had some dental work done last week and I am in pain. They did 1 root canal with temp crown, 2 cavities one with temp crown. He questioned on whether or not to do a root canal on one of the other teeth and it's the one hurting so I may have to have it done tomorrow. Wish me luck
On a brighter note... Monday is my 36th birthday and my 1st ultrasound for this baby. I will be 9 weeks so I should see my little bean. They will also be sheduling a cerclage for my cervix.
I haven't gained any weight and hope to keep it that way... but I am eating and eating pretty healthy. Does spinach dip for breakfast count?? lol

I love my little woods so much behind my place. There was deer out there this morning strolling around. I was talking to ma and daddy at the time. When I got off the phone I ran to go put on some long pants because of all the poison ivy back there,

This might seem really corny to some of ya but I have learned so many lessons that help me in my WLS just from taking time everyday to spend in the quietness and serenity of being outdoors with all the animals, birds, and other critters that God has blessed us with.
Watching and observing HOW they live, eat, and survive everyday, in all kinds of weather, spring, summer, fall, and winter helps me have a better attitude about what I'm capable of doing. Here I have this nice cozy house to keep me comfortable 365 days a year and they are all out in the elements of nature. They have go find their own food everyday and establish and maintain their own cozy little "house" so to speak. The parallel I see is that God put the food there for them and the materials to build their homes, BUT it is not just handed to them. They have to go find it and they have to work at it.

God gives me the resources.....and "tools", but I have my own responsibility to get out there and utilize them in the best way I can for a happy, healthy lifestyle. I have to do my part and work for good results. It's not just handed to me. I don't want a life of just mere survival where I only do the bare minimum but expect great results. I am striving everyday to fully "live" my life and I know that I'll get out of it whatever I put into it. And life IS extremely good and so fun to live since I lost all my weight.

Welp, that's my lesson for today

Big hugs to you all,
Kat

I went for my endoscopy yesterday. No ulcer! WooHoo! I was really scared of having one again, after what I went through last summer. I am going to be taking kapidex, the newer, time-released version of prevacid. You can get a card online for kapidex to take $45 off your copay or $55 off your out of pocket expenses, too.
