I have BC BS of IL (PPO) insurance. Do they still make you do tricks and then say sorry or have then gotton better with time.
Thank you for your time.

welcome ...a great place to start would be to call your insurance company and ask them to send you a copy of your policy so you have it in black and white.  You will then know if your insurance covers bariatric surgery, if so what is required for approval and can take it from there.  Your insurance may also dictate which surgeon you will use.  My only options were St V's and St F's, since that time they have changed and will only allow clients to go to St F's.

Franee, I agree with Jeannie, call your insurance company. They all vary based on what your employer will allow to be covered. My insurance company told me verbally what the requirements were and then sent me a copy of the policy. Good luck.
