Hey all!!
I havnt been posted in quite a while, so I just wanted to let you know how I am doing.

I am down about 65 lbs as of this morning. And I have very few complaints about the past 4 months of my weightloss journey, but yesterday/last night was pretty rough.

I didnt sleep well at all Sunday night, I was having strange cramping in my lower abdomen and back, and nothing  I did would relieve it.  When I finally got up for the day, I had a severe pain in my left lower "flank" that just kept getting worse. Then at about 12 noon, I started vomiting about 3 times every hour, and I was dehydrated, so that just made it worse.
I had to leave work early, and my mom had to come get me because I couldnt stop throwing up long enough to get home.  I came home and tried to rest, but by about 5:30 pm, I couldnt take it anymore and had to go to the ER.
I was there until about 1 am  and they gave me IV fluids and pain medication, and it turns out I have kidney stones.  Painful, painful, painful.

Sunday, however, was a very good day for me. My sister and I went shopping with a friend of ours (she's 16, and wanted to go look at prom gowns) .
My experience with prom dresses was horrid, there was only 1 brand to choose from becasue of my size, and I never liked them.
BUT I decided to try one on, just for fun, and I tried on a size 22, and the saleswoman said that I could have gone down a size!!  It was so much fun!! My prom dresses were size 32.

That moment when I walked out of the dressing room in my "dream" prom gown was one of the best moments in my life.....even though I looked like a hot-pink cupcake.

Thats enough from me.  If anyone has expeirience with Kidney Stones and could give me a little insight, I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Love, Love, Love,
Katie

Katie,  I don't know how Kidney stones feel but I've been told I don't want to know!
Hope that gets resolved soon.

Thanks for sharing your BiG WOW moment with the prom dress.  To do these things "just for fun" is a big boost to our self esteem, our self confidence, and gives us that extra firecracker moment that we all need at times to keep tredging ahead to want to push ourselves to do even better........because no one is forceing us to do it......no one to telling you that you have to do it.......you are choosing to do it for yourself so you can have counless more just for fun moments ahead in your new life.
hugs,
Kathy
