Good Mornin' Posse!    

Well it's 6:45 AM and I am up and FULLY AWAKE! I haven't been able to sleep for the past 3 weeks...not sure why...well yea I do know...too much on the brain and heart!

My thoughts are with y'all everyday...and my heart is heavy with the recent heartaches we have had.

Sitting, drinking my coffee this mornin' I am just so very thankful for each of y'all and feel blessed to have been led down this journey with y'all.

Not much planned for today. Going to church in a few hours and then home. Might get busy on my LENT promise. I decided not to give up anything this year, but to be more like God wants us to be....more loving and thoughtful....soooooooooooo I am going to make sure I remember everyone with a prayer and a smile. Do GOOD for others...maybe a smle or a happy thought or shoulder to cry on is what some folks will need to get them through.

OHHHHHH went to the library yesterday and checked out some DVD's. OMG you have to watch A Prairie Home Companion!
It's hilarious!   Got a few more to watch today. So maybe a movie day with Mark and the boys.

I am up & at'em too. I have laundry to do and need to start getting things ready for my cruise next week. I may also go to a Pampered Chef party today. Jana

It's about 7:20am. I'm in our room at Ronald McDonald House. My husband and MIL are still sleeping. Mikey's aunt and uncle stayed overnight with him. He's progressing alot each day. They are talking about moving him to the Riley Rehabilitation Hospital, which is housed in Methodist, on Monday. We'll have to see how it goes. It's an insurance issue now. I'm ready to call Anthem and harrass the hell out of them Monday if they don't approve it.

Thanks for all the posts of support, to my last thread. I appreciate the suggestions. I think I am having flashbacks. I had that with Lucy and was diagnosed with PTSD then. I worked through it. The bad news, that means I'm prone to it. The good news, I know it's not forever. To follow up with the suggestions,I have already contacted the Compassionate Friends in Terre Haute. They are going to send me information on when they meet. I was in a support group after Lucy died, that was very helpful, but it was for infant losses. I do have a counselor. I have seen her for a long time due to mood ups and downs. I'm going to see her Monday right after work, and then return to Riley.

Friday we were in Terre Haute alot of the day for business purposes. Insurance, cemetary, school, etc.,... We found out the cemetary can do the marker we wanted. We searched through every book they had and nothing was right for Maggie. So we got a simple picture of a princess froma coloring book. They sent it to the company and since it's not copyrighted, like Disney, they said they could do it. It will be right for Maggie. We stopped and looked at a couple of car dealerships. I know that may seem callous, when Mikey was back in the hsopital. We needed to do someting thing that didn't involve ICUs and funerals though, just to keep our sanity. I think I found a replacement vehicle. It's a Blazer. They kept showing me sedans. I said I want something that feels bigger, sturdier.

Friday when we were in Terre Haute, we got held up on N 41 for an accident. I saw the article online in the local paper yesterday. It said 6 injured, 3 of them kids. They weren't wearing seatbelts or in kid seats. It said the injuries were not serious though. I sitll don't understand why ours were. We did what we were supposed to do.

Thank you for all your support. I may need to post and repost about this. It help me process.

Good morning all...

I've been awake since 6 and 'only' got up 4 times last night. That was less than half from the night before so I feel rested in comparison. I slept in my recliner last night though. When I roll on my side, that kinda activates my bowels so...the recliner kept me from being able to roll. Two of the times I got up it was because Lotus (our dog) woke me up. I let her out and went potty while she did. It's still turning on a faucet, but at least it let ME turn it on! I know..TMI...lol Sorry to those that may have offended.

I'm still trying to nurse myself back to better health so I plan to DO NOTHING today. Well..watch movies or shows I've recorded. That, and take my meds. I am feeling better today so hopefully by tomorrow, work won't totally zap me.

G'morning everyone.  Sounds like most of us have been early birds this morning.  I've been up since 5.  That's because DH is still obsessed with working on his Jeep.  He's like a dog with a bone.  He worked on it all night and didn't come in from the garage till 5:30.  Now he's going to sleep all day....  grrrr...

Janene - a movie day sounds nice.  Unfortunately I've got too much to do!!    I have to do laundry or going to work tomorrow won't be pretty!  Not to mention the house is a wreck.  I've put in too many hours at work this week.

Linda - I'm glad you've contacted a support group, and have plans to see a counselor.  Don't worry if you talk about it all the time on here.  Isn't that what friends are for?  Anytime you need to talk, we are all here.  I'm pretty sure I speak for everyone here when I say we are all here for you anytime at all.  Love you!

Sherri - sounds like you got a little more rest last night.  Take it easy today, stay in the recliner, and watch movies.  Wish I could join you!

Jana - ooh - a cruise!  Can I stow away?  I've never been on a cruise, unless watching The Poseidon Adventure and Titanic umpteen times counts.  (after watching both of those, I probably won't ever get on a boat!!)

Glad to know that I am not the only early riser around here today! I have to get ready for work in a bit, and then there's not much more to that.
Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday.  Say a prayer for me while you are at church.  I have missed going so much lately with work, and I really need to get back in.  Pray for those lost souls, and those in need.  We are all in need of God's strength and guidance.

Good morning, everyone!

I, too, have been up for several hours. I'm working...as usual! Got so much to do since I didn't do anything yesterday but work in the morning, cook, and entertain guests! It was such fun, though. The lasagna was a success! I love having people over for food and fellowship. You oughta see my kitchen though...ugh! My back will be aching soon from sitting here transcribing, so I'll get up and do a little housework then.

My daughter is engaged! We were so surprised...she is the career-minded one who never really had much time for boyfriends. She and Peter have been dating since early fall. They will be married in late May. Seems a little quick to me, but that's the mom in me! She seems very happy and excited, and we really like Peter. He comes from a military family and is very respectful and good to her. She got an internship with Charleston Magazine this summer and he will be teaching in South Carolina, so in order to stay in the same apartment, they are going to be married before they go. I'm glad they decided to do the right thing and get married first...so many don't! I hate it that they're going to be so far away...but that'll give us an excuse to visit them in South Carolina! I've never been there, and they will be living about 20 minutes from the ocean. I've never seen an ocean, so I can't wait!

Well, my doctor's notes aren't typing themselves, so I better get busy. NOW I have a wedding to help pay for!

Good afternoon all.

I finally got a minute to get on the computer.  I have been busy helping Jessi this morning.  She had a rough night.  Then I threw together a crockpot meal for after church.  Frankie is supposed to be here soon for some WII time.  Then I have prayer group tonight.  I am looking forward to the day.

I plan to go with Peggy tomorrow to Indy for her appointment.  Hoping if she don't mind, we get  a visit in to Terry and Lyn.  I have some clothes for her.
