Good Monday Morning Everyone, Up early finishing the last of my bowel prep. My anthes doc called me at home last night to go over my medical files and make sure he was on board with everything. He's a little concerned about the amount of narcotics that I take for my RSD and pain management immediately following surgery and talked about doing a one time nerve block shot instead of a pump or even cath/epi, but wanted to talk it over with the surgeon, Dr Sutton, before deciding for sure. Very nervous but full of faith and hope. Matt isn't handling it very well at all and has decided that it's to hard/rough on him emotionally to see me in pain so he has decided to not come visit me after work and instead work some over time to make up for missing today. On one hand his choice has me very angry and on the other it makes me feel bad that my health is impacting him so negatively. I'm hoping that he'll change his mind. I'm not sure, and probably won't count on my mom visiting since she'll be taking care of Q and Gage for me. So... plz... I'll take any visitors, hahahah! I'mmainly concerning myself with just getting through today's hurdles, the surgery itself and hoping they find no more cancer. Sherri, Matt will call you as soon as he hears something. If you can't understand something he's saying, ask to talk to my mom, hahaha! Welp, off to pack and run a few errands. I'll be leaving Crawfordsville around 10 am and surgery is at 1. Bye everyone. Love, hugs, and take care till I can get back online again. Jodi

I have had several surgeries.. Ron was there for me some of them the day of surgery and then wouldnt see me again till he brought me home. One surgery he dropped me off at the hospital and then my sister picked me up after and took me home..I had both elbows operated on that day.. went home and took care of the kids. My hysterectmy... well he took me and then left after I woke up.. didnt see him again until it was time to go home..A full week later.. I got used to no visitors too...  He just could not stand visiting hospitals. He gets so physically ill in a hospital waiting, with headaches and nerves.. I personally would rather him just not be there at all.. So I know how you are feeling.. it used to make me angry he couldnt be there for me but then see how he could be there once I got home..so I just took it as that is the way he was.. I wish you the very best!!! ANY surgery is scary but this one is special...I DO understand.. May God give you the comfort needed today and thru your recovery. Linda

Jodi, you are in my thoughts and prayers today.......your surgery will go just fine. I have all the faith and confidence in the world that it will.  God's healing hands are going to carry you thru this just fine.   I, too, am used to my DH not being at the hospital with me during surgeries.  He wasn't there for my wls, nor did he visit me when I had my hysterectomy either.........and after the second child, he didn't go with me when I had my tubal either. I guess I still hold grudges over that, but I need to get past it, because there is enough turmoil in my life now that I don't need to keep dwelling on it. Time to get ready and take Molly to the ortho~~she gets her cast cut down today. Thank goodness!!! She is so excited about that, and I am as well. She is ready to have her leg washed! LOL  Talk about itchy! HEHE  I am already calling her "Stinky Leg"  She threatens to hit me with the crutch every time I call her that too, but I don't blame her. It is all in fun. Have a great day, and Jodi, hang in there hon.  If you have a cell number, or someone that will post us your room phone number, I will try to give you a call tomorrow, after you have rested some.  Just let me know.
At Goal! 165 pounds gone forever! Thank you Lord!

Vicki, Jodi is at the 86th Street St. Vincent's. Until the surgeon determines how extensive the removal needs to be, he wasn't commiting to how long she could expect to be in there. Based on my hysterectomy a few years ago..which was no where as major as hers, and on my son having to have his abdominal lymph nodes removed last Feb. (they're doing this on Jodi as well), I would expect her to be in there until Thursday or Friday (she was thinking Wed or Thursday I think). As soon as I hear from Matt, I'll be starting a post to let everyone know what I find out. Sherri

See you Tuesday afternoon.

2 Chronicles 16:9
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou has done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

Good Monday morning to all.  Jodi, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that God wraps His healing and loving arms around you and gives you peace. I understand about DH and hospitals. Bill is there when I have something and he will come to see me but stays about 5 minutes. I tell him that it isn't worth the gas to go there to stay for that. I seem to get better responses out him on the phone. He is good about calling me but visiting isn't worth diddly. He too gets nervous and sick when he is in a hospital. He has a thing about germs too so that doesn't help matters. Basically he is a nut job now that I think about it.  I have to call the urologist this morning to get more orders for the kidney x-ray and the stone ananysis since Bill did something with the old orders. I tell him to keep his hands off things like that and he still puts them away. He does that job so well that we never find things again. lol I guess he is doing his best to help but I just want to say ( and have in the past ) "What part of keep your hands off  my stuff do you not understand!!!??? I have a meeting this evening at the church then I have bible study. I am glad that it warmed up so I don't have to go running around in the freezing cold.  I better get going. I have to run to WalMart to get a baby shower present for my BGF's daughter. Her shower is this coming Saturday and I haven't got anything yet. I know that I want to get the walker that she wants. What else I am not sure about. I have to check the registry list.  I hope that everyone has a good and safe day today. I will check in later on and hopefully chat a bit. So I am saying bye for now to all.
