Yep..it's ME on here! Grrr.....

Hey everyone! Thank you for all of your constant prayers and well wishes. I have certainly needed them! And I still do. I was to have surgery today to repair the hernia and fix up the wound in my stomach...but...on the 11th, we had learned that my white cell count was low so they ran a CBC while I was still in the 'prep' stage today. Those results came back and it is still low..the red cells were also a little low this time. Since white cells are critical for the healing process and to fight off any infections, surgery was postponed. Yes, I'm disappointed but would rather wait a week than to increase my risk of problems..and we all know how I manage to have whatever problems that are possible! I have to be at the Hemophilia Center at 11:30 in the morning so they can determine how to best get those white cell counts up. Of course, there is also the concern of why they are low to begin with. Hopefully, the center will be able to have a good idea for both based on all the numbers included in a CBC. Anyway, I'll let you all know more as I do. Sherri

Sherri I am so sorry you got postponed. BUT I'm thankful that theyre willing to wait til you are healthier and more able to handle it and heal better. (( HUGS ))

Misty, Thanks. With my luck, I really am better off waiting until my counts are where they should be. I'm just so anxious to get rid of this big lump. I know...patience....

Ellen, Thanks. I'm just frustrated because everyone knew that the white blood cells were low since the 11th but did nothing about it. It stems back to the people at the hemophilia center not knowing what each other are doing. Ah well..I'll just wait for those little duckies to line up...lol! Sherri

Oh - Last Supper Together... say.. uhmm..... Joe's Crab Shack???????? Cuz that's where I was wanting to go for my last supper next Saturday. Sunday I get to spend the day Fleets'ing myself so no last supper Sunday, mine has to be Saturday. But that does suck that you have to wait a week cuz I know how waiting can tear at one's nerves.
