Hi Friends,
Just letting you all know how I'm doing. My surgery went off without any problems. The leak test went well.
I was released late Friday afternoon. Tried to do to much
walking stright though Saturday when I went to Wal-Mart. Now I'm in pain from over doing, but very little from the actual surgery. I spent most of today doing little else other than sipping my 90 ML of clear liquids every hour. Called Dr. Lindsey cause I thought I really had a problem with the pain. And they reminded me I just had major surgery and I shouldn't have walked for 2.5 hours stright. They said since everything is going in and coming out normally I should be fine. I'm not running a fever, vomitting, or having bad pains in my shoulders or chest I'll be fine. I go Tuesday for my first post-op appointment. If everything is fine I get to start soft foods and protein shakes. Yeah simi real food. LOL.
Thanks to all of you who sent well wishes to me and prayers. I'd like to thank Misty for keeping you all updated too. You all are very special to me. Love & Hugs.

Hi, Lorri, I am glad to know that all is well and you are home now. You have to remember not to overdo things in the beginning. I know  from first hand experience because when I got home I had so much energy I did my housework and later paid for it. Just a bit at a time, girl, a bit at at a time. I am glad that things are going so well for you and again, welcome to the losers bench.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Hi Lorri,    I'm so glad your doing ok. Girl~just don't wear yourself out so fast! There is something about being cooped up and getting out, that we just don't pay attention when our bodies say "enough"!! Take it easy , sip, walk,( slowly and often at first-all I could do is up& down my hallway)and rest! (((hugs for your journey))) Ellen
