Visit with whoever is there.  Becky and I try to visit once a month and are bless. We were shopping at a WalMart a couple of weeks ago and as we were checking out I was joking with the cashier.   The cashier said I know you two you guy's visited me in the hospital after my surgery. I didn't remember her but she sure did us.   E

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou has done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

Misty, I agree with E. When I was in there with 'pnumonia', after a few days I felt good enough to walk around. With my nurses permission (and her directions..lol), I left my floor and went to the bariatric wing so I could visit people. I met a very nice woman. I just walked by the rooms and saw her sitting there by herself. I popped my head in and asked her if she was up to company (she was), so I introduced myself and told her a little bit about my journey. I think it helps new post-ops to see a successful 'after' or two...it gives them hope...especially hope that they WILL feel better someday..lol! I just make sure to try to keep everything upbeat & possitive as much as I can. Sherri

I wish I'd read that Sherri BEFORE leaving, regardless we went up and walked the bari floor. A couple of the nurses at the nurses station were shocked to see me (I was losing inches while I was stalled) and it was neat. I didn't see anyone out and about walking and didn't really feel comfortable just popping into someones room. I will think bout that next time. When I went down to schedule my new dietitian appointment a couple preops called me over to ask me a couple questions.. I kept it positive and stuff because I really do feel good about my decision to have WLS. I did tell them its been a bumpy road but never went into detail just said I've had some UNCOMMON issues (which is the truth). Then mentioned my sister who had it done 8 weeks ago and has done perfect sooo told them that everyone is different and stuff. It was neat. :) Rich said we were having our own lil support group meeting LOL. It was more like I was being friendly and was really excited, especially bout breaking my plateau!!!!!
