Jodi, God has you in your hands, and he will guide the surgeon thru the procedure.....and he will carry you thru the rough stuff as well.  Just remember, you are in my prayers daily. Cancer is something that hits very close to home for me, because my mother had it.  She is now a 10 year survivor, and I say Thank You daily to the good Lord, because He gave her the strength to make it thru, and He will give you the strength you need as well.  We all are here for you, and your family.  If you EVER need an ear to talk to, please feel free to give me a call.  My cell phone is always on, and if I am on the game, I will call you back as soon as I get a break.  Please don't hesitate to call!!!   We all love you, and pray that your recovery will be smooth.  God Bless.

Will be praying for Gods will.  I still will believe a healing can take place and the Dr. will be able to say well it wasn't what we thought when they get in there to look.  Prayer for the hands and ability of the Dr's will be guided by His will.  That they will be guided in what needs to be done. God bless you and yours E

Thanks Everyone for you very kind warm and inspiring words. I'm still kinda in shock still. As for the many questions - Surgery will be at St V's on 86th St. Surgery starts at 1 pm. I'll be there at 11 am. Matt, my mom, Gage and more then likely Matt's mom also will be there. Surgery should take 2 to 2 1/2 hours. I doubt I'll be up for vistors that first initial day but I'll make sure that Matt calls Sherri and lets her know what my room number is and how I"m doing. I'd really enjoy visiting with anyone that wants to stop by Tuesday one. They know they have to remove the surrounding tissue because they took a deep biopsy - I'm not sure if they looked at the actual lymph systems there or not. I'm sure though they'll do it during surgery. Dr Sutton specializes in nothing but this area so I'm pretty confident in him. I'm currently making a list of questions to ask before surgery. I know I'll be going into surgical menopause - infact my mom joked about it last night. Late in the evening I noticed I was starting my monthly and told my mom. She said "Just think. This is your last one ever."... paused... then said "Want me to throw you a Goodbye Period Party??". What a clown, hahahahahahah! We are keeping the laughter going. I'm doing good and have absolute faith that I will prevail with a smile on my face and a smartass comment too. But again thanks so much for the kind words. I really needed them. Jodi

My Sweet Jo, HUGS! I totally understand where you are at right now........5 years ago I was diagnosed with stage 2 malignant melanoma.....at first I thought ok it's skin cancer no big woop just cut if off and I will be fine...well...melanoma is one of the rare cancers that is not curable and very agressive. I am here to tell you sweetie I am still here 5 years later by the grace of God. I remember when I realized the full extent of what I was dealing with...I had a good cry then I put my head on straight and got a good oncologist and requested a cancer surgeon and said I was going to beat this. Now....5 years later I am still clean and doing great! I know my chances are very good for a reoccurance but I take good care of my skin and I number one trust God. I know all things are done in his timing and his timing is perfect. So honey rest in his peace and let him take over your burdon of worry and know that a power bigger than you is in control and you will get thru this. It is so funny how once the "C" word is attached to you how differently you view life and all it's problems. you learn to really appreciate all the little  moments and treasure the littlest things. Sometimes I think my positve personality really blossomed thru the cancer stage of my life :o) Funny how that works! You will come out of this stronger. Hang in there sweetie and if you need us we are all there for you. Hugs! Marianne

I know you have already had surgery by now, but I just wanted to say that I went through this when I was 26yo due to carcinoma of the cervix. They removed everything but my ovaries. Luckily, it had not spread to my uterus, but they dont know that until they take it out and have a pathologist look at it. Just last month I had to have my ovaries removed. Another cancer scare. Thank goodness, it was benign cysts. I know what its like to be scared and I truly pray everything is alright for you. If you ever want to talk, just email me. I also know what its like to go into surgically forced menopause. Take care.
