Good Wednesday Morning!
Good morning everyone!
I woke up ~6 this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. I've been catching up on some of the posts on here. I think right now I am a little numb...and in shock. I can't believe Jodi's news. I'd like to ask everyone to pray that God will keep his hand on her and Matt. I know Jodi was worried that if it was cancer (and it is) that it had gotten in her lymph nodes. Jodi has had a close relative to die from lymphatic cancer. I know how concerning that can be. My sister died from lymphatic cancer ~17 years ago. She was 32. Last year when my son Jay was diagnosed with testicular cancer, the lymph nodes were also my concern. They had removed all of his abdominal lymph nodes and tested them..and they were negative. It wasn't until I heard those results that I breathed easier. So please everyone, pray that Jodi's lymph nodes are also negative.
Floyd..I trust you are feeling much better today. I think all of us who are further out can really sympathize with what you went through. As we get further out, it's so easy to return to some of our old ways...even if we do eat what we are suppose to! I know I catch myself not chewing my food up well enough. After that one time I told you about where the piece of melon got stuck though nothing else has gotten stuck. I can say this for my stoma; if food isn't chewed up well enough, it is coming right back up instead of getting stuck...and then I can just go on with the rest of my meal. I take it that you are back at work today...you gotta go to work at least a few more days at your 'old' job before you start your new one. LOL! I think it's pretty cool to be able to be promoted and/or get better positions as quickly as you do! You da Man!
LaChelle..congrats on being able to return to work today! Lilly's has it down for me to return to work on 2/11...3 weeks after I have my surgery Monday. Personally, I don't see it happening. I have never been able to return to work that quick after any kind of surgery (well...except when I had my tubes tied or my trigger thumb fixed). When I asked Dr. Gupta about it (seeing how Lilly's got the date from her office), she said that it would be a minimum of 3 weeks. So...I take it that her office probably told Lilly's that it'd be 3-6 weeks after the surgery and Lilly's decided to go with the minimum. Financially, I'm ready to go back (I'm at 65% pay right now) but physically...and mentally...I'm just not in the lab mode yet.
Sarah..good luck today!!! We're all pulling for you!
I hope you all have a good day today. UPS is suppose to come by and pick up the wound-vac this morning. That will be the highlight of my day....getting that darn thing out of my house!
You all have a really good day!

I got accepted into Grad School last week and I will be going to IU for my MBA through the Kelley School of Business... It's an online program for working adults but I have to spend one whole week on campus in February. I'm really excited as this has been a dream for a while now to have a graduate degree. I eventually want to get my doctorate but lets take this one step at a time...
I haven't lost any weight in a month which is kind of disconcerting but I went to buy pants at wal mart the other day and I was able to get into a 12... I cried... literally CRIED... It was AWESOME!!
That's about all that's going on here... I hope everyone stays warm this weekend it's going to be a cold one... I can't stay warm for anything thank goodness for HIGH on the electric blanket or my feet would be icicles all the time...
Take care!!

Morning all! I hope that everyone is having a great day so far. I am trying to stay warm but so far that hasn't been conquered. You can't blame a girl for trying. lol I keep thinking that if I am cold now what am I going to do this week-end with the high on Saturday being 4? I guess I will just huddle!!!!
I go this afternoon for my 3 month visit with Dr. Stanish. I am sure that all is going to go fine. I am just hoping that the labs are good. I feel so good I am guessing that everything is going to be alright.
I go to see my endocrinologist tomorrow morning. I guess this week is a doctor week. Next week is too. I go see my PCP and then a couple of days later I go see the opthalmalogist for the diabetic retinapathy. Oh I have to make an appointment with the urologist to see about this kidney stone. I guess this isn't a doctor week but a doctor month. lol
I better get going. I have some things to do before Ella comes and off we go to the doctor. She is driving today. I drag her with me to catch things that I might miss. Between the two of us we usually get about everything. She has been with me since day one on this journey and I am so blessed that she is my BF. I hope that everyone has a good day and stays safe and warm. TTFN

Hi All,
Gail- nothing like being a Nana- enjoy your new grandaughter!!!!
LaChelle- enjoy your first day back!
Sherri- Hi Sis. Woo~hoo, no more extra "purse" ! Stay well, and it won't be long now!!!
Floyd- hope you are feeling 100% better today! it won't be long till sunny skies and warm breezes for you & Brenda to enjoy!!
Jessyca- You go girl! A size 12 is wonderful- enjoy the rewards of all of your hard work and efforts!!!Good luck with the classes- you'll do great!
Brenda- good luck at those Drs. visits. Yep, friends are one of the best gifts we have!
Got up this morning and have another sinus headache- 3 weeks of flu/cold is enough!!! I had to cancel a very importaant meeting yesturday and Thurs. I was suppose to take care of the 2/3's at church for 3 hrs. but decided it wouldn't be a good idea to share my cold with them. I think I'm over the flu, mostly it has flaired up my IBS, so it takes me longer to get over it.
I sure want to be well by Sat. 'cause it is Willow's 5th birthday party. We are planning on taking her to Build-a- Bear to get her monkey (I think that is whaty she wants, but I imagine she'll change her mind several times
). I had a ball taking Jax for his birthday- I may just have to build one for me- hee~hee!
My SIL is in the hospital again- her stage 4 ovarian cancer is taking its toll on her - she was told that she needs one more chemo treatment & then will have to decide what she wants to do from here on out. Her cancer has been so agressive, and isn't responding to treatment.I'd appreciate any extra prayers their way.
Have a blessed day everyone,
(((hugs)))

Jess - Congrats on being accepted in the grad program!!!
Sooo I'm not sure what to do and waiting on phone calls. The lab here at our local hospital messed up and ran all the labs that Dr. C crossed off and NOTHING that she wanted ordered. Soo I'm probally gonna have to have the labs re drawn or something, which aggervates me since in my good arm is still super swollen and sore from the labs being drawn on Monday and they took 9 tubes.
Hope everybody is having a good day. Mines not so good, my puppy which is a minature dachshund broke his leg last night, I'm thinking my 4 yo accidently helped him but since i didnt see it happen I haven't a clue. I took him to the vet today and its the worst possible break he could have but he needs to go a orthopedic specialist, cuz it wont heal to where he can use it again unles he has the surgery well thats 2500 dollars and i dont have that to help the poor guy out. He is only 9 months old. So i feel so guilty. My vet is trying to do what she can to find places to help but even if its a couple of hundred like the animal welfar league said they could do for me, that still leaves me with a big chunk. I wish these places realized you can be poor and still love your animal and let you make payments. That just aggrievates me to no end that they dont have payment plans for that kind of stuff.
Then on another note, at the rate my hair is going, i'm gonna have to buy me a wig too, lol. I sure wish i would of started on the biotin earlier, geez I'm tired of losing it. Its so gross, I have hair everywhere. My nice thick hair isn't so thick any more thats for sure. Does anybody know what the highest dose amount of the biotin we can take. I didnt pay attention and I got the 1000 and I know there is a 5000 one, so does that mean I can take 5 of mine to get that amount in, lol, boy I'm sounding despirate.
Well I'm done rambling on about my problems today. Everybody enjoy the rest of the day.
