Under Pressure...

Hi all... some of you know my family has made some drastic changes in the last month. We moved from a house to an apartment to save money, got rid of our new 07 cars and got a more affordable car to save money, and this was all in preparation for last Friday. My husband gave notice at his job. His last day is January 18th. I'm nervous as hell. Mostly because for awhile atleast, I will be the only breadwinner in the house. That feels like a lot of pressure to me right now. I know it's the best thing for our family, but it still does feel that way to me. I could use some hugs or support or prayers right now.

What you are going thru cannot be easy.  Know that you have a lot of support here.  You can vent anytime, we will listen.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  Hope your husband finds a job really soon. Jenny

Linda, I remember very well the years that I was the sole supporter of my household. In my situation, my ex would not hang on to a job to save his life! He did do a good job as a Mr. Mom though so I tried to be patient with him. I worked 12 hour shifts..and worked 6 pm to 6 am so I needed someone to be there with my kids. All was well until I got a new supervisor that if I would have been demoted instead of fired, I would had GLADLY floored her! But...I had to bite my tongue and grit my teeth...because I had a husband & kids to support..and a house to pay for. You definately feel like you're in a pressure cooker then! I know things at work hasn't been smooth sailing lately for you either so I can understand very well how much pressure you are feeling right now. I don't recall you saying what path your husband is planning...different job? back to school? or??...but whatever it is, you'll be able to make it fine..as long as you are making it together. Me and my EX wasn't..and didn't..hence, 'EX'.  Keep your chin up... Sherri

Linda, You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I remember the hard decision it was for us to make to move to Indiana just a little over a year and a half ago.  It was tough at first, but thru prayer, and God's strength we made it thru.  You are a very strong woman, and you will survive.  At least you made all the preparations and changes BEFORE your husbands' choice to end his current employement.  Many people don't have that opportunity! God Bless you. I am always here if you need support, and you always have my prayers. graphic-124.jpg picture by kittikat22

Becky and I will be glad to pray for you. God is good.

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou has done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

Linda, I know how you feel.  My husband and I decided last May that he would quit his job.  Working 14 hour days 6/7 days a week was literally going to kill him if he kept going at it.  He was unemployed for 2 months before he found another job.  This new job is great for him, and our family.  He is home at a decent hour, and has all weekends off.  Only thing is he is making about half what he made before, so I am the main income for our family.  But, there are more important things in life than money.  It can be stressful, but in the end it always works out.  God takes care of us, and he will take care of you too.  I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Sending many prayers your way. (( HUGS )) We are also looking to move to cut costs and all that fun stuff.. DH is our breadwinner right now but hates his job. I remember clearly how tough it was to go from 2 incomes to 1 especially when I was making almost as much as he does. It's tough but you guys will be fine and you'll make it!

I am keeping you and your family in my prayers. I am a firm believer that if God brings you to it He will get you through it. I know that it is scary but you will do fine as long as you are together in this and it sounds like you are. I send you BIG cyber (((((hugs))))) and whenever you need them they are there waiting for you. Just remember that we are here for you.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.
