my dietition said that I will be eating turkey bacon and turkey sausage if I can find it, so you may want to check yours and see if that is the same.

I am not too too find of meat, nor do I eat pork.  And havn't eaten it since the age of 3, so all I do eat is turkey sausage and bacon.  The best turkey sausage is honysuckle white breakfast sausage!!!! I love it!  Also Old folks makes frozen sausage patties which are pretty good too!  If you ever go out to eat, cracker barrell has rediculously good turkey sausage, and you can by it by the case if you wanted to.  IHOP Also has turkey sausage as well.  Turkey bacon is excellent too, you can find that in basically any store.  I hope this helps Jenny

Jenny, I do turkey sausage & turkey polish sausage. You are still pretty early out though so you may want to wait awhile. At your next nut visit, ask them when it would be ok for you to have some. Regular pork sausage...they'll probably tell you 'never' but it wouldn't surprise me if they told you to wait until you're about 6 months post op for the turkey sausage. Any kind of sausage has some fat in it...that's what makes it taste so good. Turkey sausage is most likely the leanest you're going to find. Fat isn't good for weight loss and it can also upset your pouch...and fat also can make a person dump. So ask your nut...they'd be able to guide you best. Sherri
