Well, my boss called me into his office yesterday. I knew it would happen sooner or later. He was straightforward but supportive, telling me I'm not doing as well as he knows I can, because he's worked with me for so long. He asked what he could do to help me get back to where he knows I can be. It was overall okay, but still, I don't like to feel like I'm not doing well. But it's a new year, and I can get on track. New starts.  Well,... I can't wait to see folks tomorrow!

Good Friday Morning. Bella couldn't sleep, there for I am up. I have to work 9-4 today. Tyler has been in Ohio since Christmas, (he usually stays with my mom and dad over his Christmas break) It's like a vacation for him. He should be coming back this weekend. I went to my seminar last night at Clarian. Dr. Evanson was the speaker. Wow not what his pic. looks like. He walked in and I though he looked like Kato Kalen. LOL He was very informal though. I decided to go with Dr. Mattar, He had an appt. available sooner and Sandra has spoken very highly of him. All the other Doc's werent avail. until Febuary. I was able to set up consult for 14th of January. Yeah!!!! I have done my research. (alot and knew everything he discussed.) I was very shocked what kind of Questions people were asking. I mean people have you done any research? I have my 4 month Pcp visit next Tuesday, consult on the 14th.The ball is def. starting to roll faster. Have a great day. See everybody at the Exchange tommorow. I am bring my family's fav. dessert. "CHocolate Junk" But pouchified.LOL Later

Good morning  everyone! Oh, I can't wait to see you all tomorrow!!! Although...I STILL don't have a clue what I'm bringing tomorrow other than high protein/fiber bean soup. Oh well..I'll figure it out...lol. Linda...did KatBaby351971 get hold of you? Kathy is from Terre Haute too and was looking for a ride to the clothing exchange (see Floyd's post on 12/31 about the exchange). Well..my sister Cindy decided to start the year off bad. She was the one I had to sue last year and was ordered to make her payments via money order by the 5th of each month. Well..I got her payment yesterday..by check! I am quite sure this is a little ploy of hers. In the past, checks from her were either bounced or payment stopped. Either way, cost me $$...which is why the judge ordered that it be via money order. So...I wrote 'VOID' across the check and am returning it to her along with a copy of the court order (with 'via money order' highlighted) and a copy of what her balance is. I'm going to send it to her registered mail today. I had debated on doing that...or taking it directly to the courthouse since she didn't adhere to the court order. I thought I would be nice this ONE time. She does it again, it will go to the courthouse. Sound fair? Oh..yes, she did make sure she wrote 'FU' on the check and on the inside of the envelope, just under the flap...and yes, I DO have copies of both should I have to take her to court again. I think it'd be good for the judge to see how vindictive she is. I was so glad I opened Cindy's envelope first...and got my  out of the way! Bill had dropped a few envelopes on the porch (this is the first time he'd ever done that) and when the visiting nurse came, she gave them to me. I was so pleasantly surprised by a very sweet card by a very sweet lady. Thank you Gail! You have no idea how very much I needed your words at that very precise moment. I think God knew I'd need that..and I think he knew I needed that little delay between opening Cindy's mail and opening yours..which is why Bill had done something so unlike himself. In fact, Bill doesn't even know he did it.. If it happens again, I'll say something to him about it but one time? And with the timing involved? I really think powers greater than Bill had a hand on that. Well..you all have a terrific day today! I can't wait to see you all tomorrow!!!!! Sherri

Add some gizzards to the bean soup they have 41 grams of protein per cup. If you do beans in the pressure cooker you need to add a tablespoon of oil to keep them from foaming over.  Real mess with foam coming out of the steam control. E

E, Thank you so much for the hint with the beans. Bill & I neither one know much about cooking with a pressure cooker so this has been a very new experience for us both. I put gizzards on my shopping list! That's a terrific idea! Sherri

Good Morning all! Today is a new day! I am going to try the St. V's protein recipie today. I have been getting milk in just fine, so I  should be able to drink that with no trouble at all.  I love milk as well, so that just makes it even better! My drain tube is itching like crazy, as well as all of my incisions. There is one that is ready to pop out already, but of course I don't want to touch it at all, just to be safe.  I know it is just a waiting game, and I am so darn impatient..........LOL oh well! I will get over it and go on! I hope everyone has a wonderful day today. I have tons of things to do around the house.  Cleaning up after last nights visitors won't take long. It's just the dishes that I hate! LOL GTG, TTYL!
At Goal! 165 pounds gone forever! Thank you Lord!

LaChelle, One recipe I tired and loved was....I bought the Hood calorie countdown chocolate milk from Wal Mart. i mixed it with half Hood milk and half 1 or 2% milk and then added the powdered milk for St. V's recipe. It was delicious! I found after surgery that my taste buds were really strong and everything tasted so strong. The chocolate milk was too strong by itself for me at that time and it was perfect diluted down with the regular milk and the powdered milk. I still do the Hood milk straight each morning with my vitamins and still look forward to the taste each morning :o) String cheese, cottage cheese and refried beans are a great source of protein in the "early days" I also supplemented my protein with a bottle of Isopure grape flavored from GNC each day. I added just a little of unsweetened grape juice to it and it really helped with the taste.  I poured this over ice and sipped it all day. Hang in there it gets alot better the further out you are.  Sherri, Hang in there...family can be such a trial :o) I am sorry that I can't attend the clothing exchange tomorrow. I will miss you all and hope to make the April one. I will be spending the day with my parents out of town. My mother is failing some now and my brother asked me to try to come up a couple of times a month so....I am happy to do it but my schedule gets really full and I still tire out rather quickly. :o) I will be thinking of you all and wishing you a wonderful day of fellowship and found treasures.  Have an awesome day all! Hugs! Marianne
