Secret Pal Exchange

Hey everyone... I was going to send out a note to everyone on the directory, reminding them that the deadline for signing up to be a secret pal for 2008 is this Saturday...but time got away from me. I'll try to get my email addy book up to date from the latest directory additions tomorrow and send out messages then. PLEASE:  If you do sign up, be committed to remembering your person at least once per month. We have several who were discouraged last year because they weren't remembered much, if any. Many, I'm sorry to say, have decided not to participate in 2008 because of it. I do hope that they change their minds, but I do understand if they don't. One person only got something from their person one time last year (I think that wasn't until June or so). Another, got two or three e-cards, and that was it. In order for this to be enjoyable...and fair...for everyone, everyone needs to be willing to show that they care at LEAST once per month...and please, an e-card is fine sometimes, but not every time. And please do remember when you are on the recieving end that a 'thank you' goes a long way! Now...let's have fun with it in 2008!! Sherri

Sherri....Thank you so much for heading this up again!!!!  I am looking so forward to it!!!  I will not be able to get to the exchange on Saturday but will definitely get to the next one!!!!!  December was a hard month for me and I need to get back to basics again!!!!  Got a new treadmill for Christmas and need to get my routine back again!!!!!  One day at a time and I pray that God helps me see the goal at the end...... Love to all!!!!!

Jenny, You'll be getting a note from Elfster on January 6th with your person's name. I personally haven't done the wish list thing. Who-ever gets your name does have the ability (as you do) to ask you questions to help guide them with your likes & dislikes. Sherri

Sherri, I don't want to sound stupid, but I have never done this before, so bear with me please. Is this a secret santa thing or what? Does the person you have know who has their name or is it a secret? Thanks for taking the time to set me straight. And thanks for doing this. I am so looking forward to this. It sounds like it is going to be so much fun.

Brenda, Only you and Elfster will know who your person is (technically, since I set it up, I can go in & check to see who has who but I'd prefer not to do that). Yes..it's like Secret Santa only it's for all year, not just at Christmas.  And nope, you didn't sound stupid at all! All questions are welcomed!!! Sherri
