Introduction

Hi all!  I just wanted to pop in and introduce myself.  My name is Lori and I live in Elkhart County. My family and I moved here from Alaska about 18 months ago.  I am  37 ( for a few more weeks) and mom to 4 terrific kids, ages 15yrs - 4 yrs.  I work full time in the insurance billing/coding field (yes you can ask me questions, but no I don't have all the answers). I have laprascopic RNY scheduled for February 25th. - I am excited, and really not nervous.  My sister and best friend have both had surgery and done very well.  I work with a number of ladies who have had surgery also, and all area very supportive of my choice. Is there anyone on this board near Elkhart? I look forward to "bonding' with others on here, and maybe being able to meet up with some of you sometime. ~Lori

Welcome Lori!! I'm in Kokomo, about 1 1/2 hrs south of you...just saw on the news that you've got 19+ inches of snow up there!  Look forward to getting to know you, and sharing the loser's bench soon!!

Hi there!!! My family is from Idaho and Washington.. but personally haven't been up that way for years!! Welcome to Indiana!! My sister lives up on the tippicanoe River and I will be in Hammond in June for my friends art show.. That is my extent of geography!! Hi, Lori. I want to welcome you to the IN board. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. You will do great and time is going to fly. I live in Portage which is about an hour from you. I don't know a lot about places in your area but my friends mom use to live in Breman and use to shop in Elkhart.

Hi, Lori, and welcome to the Indiana board!  Since I am a newly transplanted Hoosier myself, (only being here a little over a year myself)  I don't have a clue where Elkhart is.  I live in Southern Indiana, so from what everyone else is saying, you are up north.   Good luck with your upcoming surgery, and again, Welcome!!!
