Good Morning everyone!!!  I have missed posting that!!!  I just got up after a wonderful nights rest! LOL  I actually did sleep well, which is scary,  because I was mainly flat on my back.  I did prop up with additional pillows, so that may have helped some. My day is totally uneventful except for Home health coming over to evaluate me.  I get to give myself the first shot, so I am not looking forward to that, but I will do it!!!   All of my wonderful friends on here, please have a safe and wonderful New Years Eve, and especially start the new year out right!!!  Please have fun for me, since I can't do anything this year.  Bummer!!!  Oh well, I am strong, but not that strong.  I have been told that if I wanted to attend a party that some of my wonderful co-workers are having, just let them know, and they will make sure that I have a way there.  If even for a little while, I would love to go, but I don't think I want to be such a bother. I would just rather rest some.  It is better for me, thats for sure. I will be on later, but for now, have a wonderful day!!!

Hi all! I haven't been on much... had a very busy week. We are making some drastic lifestyle changes. My husband is considering leaving his job, a quality of life kind of thing, and looking for other work. We moved last weekend to an apartment that is more affordable. We are going to trade in our 07 cars for one more reasonable car. Things like that. It's a shock to my system that we are going to have to live so differently, but it will be worth it. You only get one chance at life, I told my DH, and it's not worth it to be so miserable. I guess the upside is it's a nice apartment for the money. It's in a good school district too. Down south in Terre Haute.  So, did I see right? The clothing exchange is this Saturday on the 5th? Will someone let me know? Thanks.

Good morning everyone! Happy New Year's Eve!!! Happy Possum Day Eve! (LOL!) Just so I have my bases covered... Happy, Happy, what-ever it may be to you today (birthday, surgiversary, anniversary, etc)!! LOL! Okay..apparently I got up in a quirky mood! haha...That even makes it more than once for me to even use the work 'quirk' today and I rarely use it! Oh boy, I am going to be bringing in 2008 with a bang and a fizzle, huh? Shanna..it'll be great to see you again at the clothing exchange..and yes Linda, it's this coming Saturday..the 5th. Oh my..and I don't have a clue as to what I am making! Hmmm...I better get my cookbooks opened up! LaChelle, I am so glad you're home and doing well. I really want to apologize to you for not calling you while you were in the hospital. I take it that the shot you referred to is Lovenox (or another blood thinner). They really aren't so bad. I came to appreciate the time when I had to do them after my RNY when I had to have them with this latest thing. My intestines are right below skin level without much stomach wall protecting them. I can judge where to put the needle so I avoid them. When I was at Seton, there were a few nurses that would feel like they got the intestine every time. Man, that hurt. As of a week ago, I'm off of the shots for awhile (I was on them about 5 weeks). After I have my surgery on the 21st, I'll be back on them until they get the coumadin regulated..again. Good luck with your home healthcare personnel. Most of mine are fine...but there are a few.. Joe is the RN in charge of my care and he's fantastic. I will try to give you a call within the next few days. I've been having a few tummy issues with the hernia feeling like it's trying to bust out of my skin. It's made me where I want to lay down alot to give the skin some relief. It's been putting alot of pressure on the tummy tuck's incision line too. Weird. Oh..and Joe (and I) observed several subtle changes with the wound (opening) in my belly so I'm waiting to hear back from Dr. Gupta's nurse to try to get in there this week so Dr. Gupta can assess it herself. Well everyone...however you plan to celebrate the passing of the old year and the coming of the new, be safe, be healthy, be happy. Love you all! Sherri

Hey everyone... Happy New Year... I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off... I am ready for a new year, but I am thinking next year maybe the same way as this year:( Hopefully one big thing will change and that is my weight, so I am not the big thing anymore... I am sooooo proud of myself... I have lost 20 lbs in 5 weeks, and I havent even made it to the YMCA yet... I plan on starting today:) I decided to have a bowl of Cheerios instead of doughnuts today, so I am making better choices... I am going to try to work my butt off and maybe then I will lose it the old fashion way... Either way I meet with the bariatric doctor in Jan. to set up everything... I am not going to back out yet... 20lbs is good, but can I keep it up is the real question... Well, everyone have a good day and a good NEW YEAR!!!!

Hey y'all... I've been super busy today! Looking for an apartment. Things bill wise have been really hectic with us and the house we are renting just isn't very affordable to us anymore. It's not actually the house its the utilities more than anything. Our gas bill was over 200.00 for last month and that was with it set on 65 degrees and not even on the whole month. Sooo we're trying to find an apartment for about the same as we're paying now that is electric preferrably and hopefully one that covers the water/sewer stuff too. I know our electric bill will go up a little but its still gonna b less than 270 dollars which is what our gas and electric for last month was. Right now we pay rent, gas, electric, water, sewer, trash and everything plus we have to replace the appliances if they quit working or anything and our stove/oven just isn't really working very good anymore. We're also trying to find something that has washer dryer hook ups and a bath tub !! LOL This shot gun house we're renting our bathroom is the size of a small coat closet, it has a toilet, stand up shower and a sink and even our skinny guests have to suck it in to get to the toilet. Theres also noo cabinet space or anything here soooo we really just wanna find something else. Not to mention with my mom living with us we'd like to have 2 bedrooms sooo shes not sleeping on the couch! I love our landlord dearly which stinks leaving him but like I said we need to move on. We're starting to look now because our lease is up in Feb. Sooooo please if you don't mind saying a prayer for us it'd be appreciated!!! I'm really panicky about it because it's come down to being able to afford to pay one thing or get my medications or this or that. We did find a 2 bedroom apartment for a little more rent but everything is included except for the electric bill and we were told the average bill was bout 80.00 a month which still saves us quite a bit. Anyways thats pretty much what we're up to. No big plans for this evening. Not really sure yet if we're going to go to our church's skating party or just take it easy at home. I am still pretty wheezy and feeling really rough sooooo I wouldn't skate but I could go watch I guess. Anyways thats bout it for now...
