Hello everybody, As I am sure some of you know, 3400 soldiers from the Indiana National Guard are being called to duty in the largest call up since WWII. Ulisha's husband is one of them. My husband is in the same brigade, but is needed as stay behind(much to his disappointment). This can be very emotionally draining on a spouse because most of our emotional strength is put toward supporting our soldier and our families. We often put ourselves last on the list. Please help fill up Ulisha's emotional resevior so that she may have the strength to stand strong during this long separation. Please send prayers to her and include all of our Hoosier soldiers and their families. The departure ceremony for the brigade is January 2nd. The soldiers will then go to Georgia for training and from there to their assigned duties overseas.  God Bless Our Soldiers and Their Families, Angie

Shanna...Is your husband included in this also? Your husband is also in the military, right? Sherri ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ulisha, Shanna, and all the others who have loved ones in the military... I do pray that God protects your loved one as they are away from home, fighting for the rights of others. I also pray that God keeps his hand on you and on all the loved ones here at home. It is difficult being the person at home..not knowing if your husband, son, daughter, etc is safe. My kids dad was a Marine. He was never sent in a war zone, but I still worried about him whenever he was deployed so I do pray that you recieve comfort with the knowledge that God knows what is best for you and will only allow his will be done. All my prayers... Sherri

Thanks Ladies. While I was asking for support for Ulisha, I did not intend for a political discussion to evolve.  I kinda meant more that we could send her some personal messages of encouragement. It is a very sensitive topic....I just thought she could use our prayers.  Angie

Thanks you guys for the thoughts and prayers for my husband and the many other soldiers that will be leaving or that are over there.  It isn't an easy thing to have to deal with it, and since this is the second deployment for me and he has only been home a year from the the last one, it just seems to soon for him to be leaving again. Its one of those things that I just have to deal with one day at a time, there will be good days and there will be bad.  I just hope that they all stay safe and come home their famlies as soon as possible.

I have a friend her son is going too... and this is his 3rd time!!!!  While I wish we were not at war.. I DO support everyone who stands up and fights for our Country!! I do pray for the families left behind to raise families and keep a marriage going MILES apart!! I believe every person in the world has a right to live free, allowed to worship and live as they see fit. even the religious views I don;t agree with I feel they have the right to choose as long as they live peacefully with others utilizing THEIR right to live as they see fit. Sometimes that means fighting..and fighting usually means someone has to get hurt.. DARN IT!!  (why they just don't arm wrestle for a cause is beyond me.. when they know killing hurts)  My prayers are with her as they are with Gwen (my friend) I was a Vietnam era young teen... I wore a bracelet for my POW, I prayed for boys going off to a "police action" (urks me). But I honestly have to HONOR those guys that went because their president told them they had to. MY husband didnt go to Nam but he was still disabled during training.. he came home and worked for his family for 29 years before his broken back could take no more... He is a disabled American Vet and I stand up for ALL VETS!! and THEIR FAMILIES ( I am not SCREAMING) I am HONORING with passion, the dedication and love of country and fellow man these guys prove by their service.! THANK YOU GUYS (AND GIRLS) Linda kay

I am sorry to here about anyone's family going over there. Actually my husband is in the Navy reserves and part of is group was called up to leave middle of next year but he is ready reserve right now, taking a leave of absence. My cousin has been over there 4 times, he is stationed out of Texas. Last month his apartment burnt down and got to come home for a minute. I thought I heard talk of withdrawing, Yeah right. When is it gonna end! Thanks for thinking of us. Shanna

One of my friends is in Iraq right now. His saying is "Only the dead have seen the end of the war." I just hope HE dont see the end of the war because he has 2 younger sister that need him. All they have left is him and his dad. No aunts or uncles or cousins or grandparents left :( I pray for everyone over there to come home safe...
