New here, just got my surgery date!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!! I am really getting excited.... Told my husband last night, and he's coming around (again).  Tonight we went over to my parents house and that helped him out a lot.  My dad had RNY 8/28/2006 with Dr Kadarabek, and my mom had been vehemently opposed.  Hubby told me that he and my mom chatted quite a bit in private tonight, and he feels a lot better now.  Dad gave me some 1 & 2 oz glasses, almost like shot glasses, that he used in those first weeks and months post op.  Mom has been saving back clothes for me as well, as she's lost weight out of them, so hopefully I'm good on clothes for spring/summer for a bit!

Eventually I hope to make it to a clothing exchange, I just can't do this one.  I'll keep the dates in mind though...I'm looking forward to meeting people from here and sharing this journey.  Make room on the loser's bench...three months to my new ME! Oh, Sherri, no way will I spend the next three months splurging...I've been trying to cut back anyway, just preparing for this, and I hate how I feel now when I overeat.  My dad's a great resource for me in this arena, since he's been there.
