I was just wondering if I am suppose to be watching my calories.  My nut has never said (that I can remember) anything about calories.  I dont think I am getting too much, but has anyone ever been given an amount at almost 3 months out? Jenny

I asked my Nut about this and they said the first 3 months you really can't eat too many... I am an avid calorie counter because of all the practice I had on my many diets prior to surgery. At 3 months I was getting anywhere from 700-800 a day with my protein shakes and such... I get about 1000-1100 a day now... Of course you're going ot have to watch them... even though we're not "efficient" anymore and we have bypassed some of our intestines so we don't absorb all of the calories we eat, we still need to make sure that we aren't eating too many... I really see no way that you can be at 3 months out though... If it makes you feel better writ ethem down... I have been since day one

Jenny I've never been told to count calories, but I do watch them. I get between 6-800 in a day usually. If I tube feed 4 times a day I end up with about 1100 though.
