Morning all.  It is just another day of work for me. Uggh.  My moodiness hasn't gotten much better. I found out last night that my girls aren't going to have a place to stay while I am in the hospital. The couple that said they could stay with them has to work now, so I really don't know what I am going to do.  When it rains, it pours. My DH said yesterday, "You know, you really don't HAVE to have the surgery". Knowing what kind of mood I was in, that just made it worse. Talk about a guilt trip. So now I really don't know what I am going to do this upcoming week.  Also, the new work schedule came out, and they scheduled me to work on Wednesday, even tho I requested it off for me to do my colon prep.  There will be NO way possible for me to deal all day long when I have taken the magnesium citrate.  They understand that, and are really trying to work with me, but I have to try to find someone to work for me, instead of my boss doing it, since they are the one that messed it up! UGGGGGGGGH!   When it got close for your surgeries, did everything go wrong all at once like it is for me???
At Goal! 165 pounds gone forever! Thank you Lord!

Good morning everyone! Well...I have to run to Value City today to spend my Santa Bucks that I got the other day. By the time we went to Meijer's yesterday (and got the grandkids new dressers) and went out to eat, I didn't feel like going anywhere else..so I wrapped! It won't take long at Value City..it's $220 worth and when you're talking about adult jeans the money adds up quick. Then, I'm going to stop by this little 'store' that is kinda like a big, enclosed fruit stand. I like to go there to get the fruit for the stockings. Then I can come home, fix up the stockings...and know what won't fit in them that needs to go into each child's 'toy' box instead..and then wrap up each of their toy boxes. Oh..and wrap up the adult kids clothing boxes. Then my wrapping will be all done! It sure helped me out alot by not wrapping each toy or outfit separately. Sure, no one has as many boxes to open but they get just as much stuff so I think they'll all still be very happy. And it didn't wear me out near as much. Besides, most kids hate to open clothes so to get all the clothes in one big box? Chance will be thrilled! Tiffany & Jay are coming over when she gets off of work to load up my truck & her van..and we're going to bring all the gifts over to her house so they'll be there Christmas morning. Bill & I will have enough to bring over then...food. Which..I need to go to Kroger and get all of that stuff too. So...tomorrow, I will be spending the DAY on my pc (and cookinf on Monday). I have to resize my pics on here so that they'll go on my mil's digital frame ok. I have not even gotten started on it! I also have to print off pics for these braceletts that I got my mil, Tiff, Shellie, and myself. Each bracelett holds 6 pics. Definately what I would consider a Grandma bracelett! LOL! Oh..Bill also put Chance's kindergarten graduation ceremony (from last May) and his Christmas program on DVD's so I need to do the labels and jewel case covers for them. Yep, I'll be setting up camp right here...lol. I'm glad we went and got that new printer though. It does wonderful pictures too so the DVD stuff should turn out nice. I'll just use my picture mate for the bracelett ones though. Are you all planning on fixing a big meal Christmas? A week or so ago I fixed up a huge pork roast..I slow baked it overnight, let it cool good, then 'pulled' it..about 2/3rds for BBQ pulled pork and 1/3rd for pork salad (like tuna salad). Tiff, Rod, and Shellie stopped by right when I was finishing it all up....and loved both of them. They asked if I would mind doing another roast just like that again for Christmas so that's what I'm going to do. I'll bake it Sunday night and fix itup on Monday. We got a pumpkin pie & apple pie at Sam's the other day. They are HUGE! I found out yesterday that my son's favorite pie is pecan..and so is Bill's..so I'm going to pick up one of them too. Bill didn't want me to get one and him feel 'obligated' to eat it all. He's been doing so good at losing a pound here & there and didn't want to blow it Christmas. This way, Jay will eat most of it...and more importantly, Jay will leave some of the other pies for everyone else! Yes, Jay is MY food garbage disposal. And yes, overweight, but somehow has the metabolism to not be obese. He must have gotten that from his dad. Of course, we gotta get all the usual sides too (potato salad, cottage cheese, cole slaw). We already have the shrimp (love Gordon Foods jumbo shrimp!). I think I'll fix up some baked beans (yea Bush'es!..lol), sugar-free banana pudding, my special sugar-free salad (nothing really special about it except Bill REALLY loves it...lol) and deviled eggs. No, our family doesn't do the typical ham or turkey for Christmas. Actually, we usually do lunchmeat sandwiches with deli meat. I think since the little ones are all out of eating baby food though that we need something more nutritious. The best thing? We can leave any left-overs THERE! LOL! Bill & I really hate having to eat the same thing for a week...we'll do it, but if we can get them all to eat it for a few days instead??? LOL! Tiffany & Rod has to work every day. After they get off of work Monday, they have to rush home, pick up the kids, then head to Rod's mom's for Christmas there. So..they'll have no time to cook. And Shellie...well, Shellie is a horrible cook and Jay has no patience for it. Tiffany does a little better than them but I think Rod does the majority of the cooking there. So..you can see why all the cooking is being done by Mamaw this year! We are still going to have Christmas over at their house though. It works out better that way with 4 little ones. They get tired & need a nap, their beds are there! They want to go play, their rooms are there! Besides, our house definately is NOT baby proof! Well..I best get it in gear. You all have a really terrific day! Only 3 more days till Christmas!! Sherri

Hi all! Happy Saturday. I feel good today. I got up at 7, got ready and went lap swimming at the Y this morning. I also feel good for having made a real breakfast for my family. We had eggs and toast this morning. Nothing fancy but better than cereal. Dogs got some of mine. Hehe, they love me since gastric bypass surgery.  Today I have to work at Sears from 3-12mid. I'm hoping it will go by quickly because of it being busy. Then I'm working Sunday and Monday, too. But I won't work again after than until next Saturday, so that's not too bad.  We went to see National Treasure last night. It was pretty good. I enjoyed getting out.

Good Morning All, Well for me it is time to put on the track shoes and run.  This needs to be a very productive day in order for the rest of the holiday time to go smoothly.  I have about 3 hours of typing to do and then I need to hit the house.  It needs a thorough cleaning!  And sometime I need to do the grocery shopping for the next few days.  There is also a stack of gifts that remain unwrapped so that needs to be completed today or tomorrow.  I have so much more energy since surgery BUT today may test my endurance.  Tomorrow will be the 6th year anniversary of my husband's death so we will all get together and have dinner of his favorite foods and of course visit the cemetery.  This is the first time since his death that the 23rd falls on a Sunday.  He died in church on Sunday morning, December 23, 2001.  His death was totally unexpected.  He was his perfect weight, cholesterol, etc. but apparently a virus attacked his heart and quickly destroyed it.  He was the healthy one and I was the unhealthy.  My 13 year old and I plan to go to my oldest son's church where he is the worship leader versus our home church since the memories of that morning 6 year ago would be pretty strong.  We always try to make the day one of good memories and a celebration of his life.  Of course a few tears will flow as well but I am so thankful I had 30 wonderful years as his wife and the kids had an absolutely wonderful father.  I am so glad I have no regrets regarding our life together.  Always remember to tell your family and friends you love them.  You never know when that will be your last time to say those words.  Well I need to get going.  I hope everyone has a great day.  Congratulations to all the new losers and pre-ops.  2008 will be a great year for you all as you gain health and fitness.  I am so thankful for this surgery.  God has been so gracious to me to allow me a second chance at life.  I feel absolutely great although I am becoming clothes poor -- but loving it.  Just bought size 14's a week ago and someone at work yesterday told me my pants were getting baggy!!  It is beyond comprehension to think I may soon be wearing size 12's.  When I had surgery 5/11/07 I wore  size 4x tops and 26/28 pants.  Thank you Lord!! Wishing you all a blessed holiday!! Peg

Thanks for all the prayers. My sister is now in recovery, and the bleeding has stopped from what they can tell. I hope they are right. We wont know until later when she can go home. I am still worried because the bleeding starting and stopping, so I hope it has stopped for good... I know we have a lot to be thankful for the Christmas... My sister is mad that she is in the hospital and maybe there for Christmas, but like we told her we would much rather her be in the hospital than not here at all, because the way she wa**** it looked like she wouldnt have survived. Thank God for airbags because my sister has had lots of head injuries in the past and her teeth knocked out when she was ran over when she was 9. So like I said I am just glad she is here... Thanks for the prayers everyone!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS

Yikes I woke up this morning feeling like I've been hit by a mac truck!! The WHOLE left side of my stomach and all is sore! I know there was a lot of pulling and stuff with getting the tube out to get it resewed in but I can't even take a deep breath without getting a bunch of pain in those muscles over there!!! I didn't sleep very good last night at all. Everytime I rolled onto my left side or my stomach I was up. I still cant hardly walk straight it's soo sore. Oh well.. So we have like 2 more gifts to buy and to be honest with y'all I am stumped. We don't have much money to do it either but have to get something for my SIL's fiance and for my brother in law. I'm clueless truthfully. I think I have some nice leather wallets or something like that around here that are brand new that we bought for DH's groomsmen but then changed our minds and got them something else or something but I've got no clue where to begin looking. hehe Thats awful I know but we've moved like 3 times since we've been married and sooooooo its just crazy right now. Anyways I hope y'all have a good one!! I'm going to try and brave the Wal-Mart here in town and pray that it's not terribly crowded!!!!
