Since having this surgery my monthly thing has been a little screwy, like extremely heavy and being on it more then once in the first month out, but now I am 2 weeks late.  Not that you guys really care to hear this but I cant be pregnant cuz I haven't had sex (plus husband had a vesectomy in like june or july) since before surgery.  Is it normal for almost 4 months out for it still to be wacked out like that. I mean to be honest I wouldn't care if it stayed away for ever, but it's also a little hard to explain not having one to your husband, lol, I know I haven't done anything.  I was just wondering if others had this problem after thier surgery.  Thanks

I hadn't had a period for a long time before surgery. My hormones were too messed up from the weight. Then after surgery I had one like every two weeks for a couple of months! Ack! After a couple months it evened out. Now I'm pretty regular. If you're concerned I would make a gyn. appointment.

I would say go get a check up as well.  I was like Linda.  Had one every week that first month and ever since been like clock work.  I didnt have one for a yr before my surgery....wish I could go back to those days....but only for that reason...wouldnt want that weight back for anything in this world....

My periods where somewhat screwy for at least 6 or 8 months following surgery. My OB/GYN said it was because of the weight loss and it would take time for my body as a whole to settle in loosing weight and becoming normal again. He said not to be surprised if my periods didn't become normal until sometime after I had lost all my weight and maintained. Almost 28 months later (and a baby later) and my periods are still somewhat screwy. If it becomes to much of a concern with you talk about it with your PCP or OB/GYN. Jodi P.S THANKS for the Christmas card, btw.

I'm speaking from the other side of the fence.  I had a hysterectomy two years ago.  My doc was considering putting me on hormones because my ovaries (which I still have) weren't working.  I was having major night sweats, hot flashes and the WORST feminine itch from dryness.  Since my surgery, just 8 weeks ago tomorrow, all of these symptoms have gone away!  Yippee!!!!  And sex is wonderful again!   I can't imagine the hormonal changes that our bodies are going through.  I must say I'm pleased a*****h with mine though.  Hopefully, your periods will even out.  It must be miserable. Hooray Bless you for opening the door.  Yes sex is wonderful with weight loss.  I will not say more as it would embarrass me.  Becky may be more embarrass so don't tell on me Linda! God loves us. E

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou has done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
