Morning Losers,

Well Ive stayed warm all night.  The roads are now pretty much pure ice here.  Andy left work at 2:30 and its now 4 am and hes not home yet but he did call and says hes on his way but its slow moving. He arrived home at 4:18 and has to be back up to go in again at noon.   By the time I fixed him french toast with sf maple syurp a fruit salad  and he went to bed it was 6 am.  We did watch 1/2 of "Its a wonderful life" while we ate breakfast. Will watch the rest later tomorrow.

We have had our power on and things havent been bad here at home.  I managed to get some well needed R and R.  I hope u all are having a great weekend.  I missed a few parties I wanted to attend but other than that...I dont work till tonight.  Dont know if I will be able to make it back to Richmond or not....will worry about that tonight.

Heres also a new recipe I wanted to share with u all

This reminds me of key lime pie, somewhat. Not a high protein dish. Make sure to count your carbs into your daily total. Make sure you ENJOY! lol!

1 large box lime Jell-O (0.6 oz-sugar free)
3 cups boiling water
2 cups sour cream
2 teaspoons Key Lime Juice
1 packet Splenda or whatever sweetener you want

1. Mix package of Jell-O with boiling water and add 1 tsp of lime juice. Stir well (2 minutes). Refrigerate 30 minutes (this is important otherwise it will separate).
2. Mix into Jell-O, 1 cup of the sour cream using an electric mixer. Pour into 6 ramekins. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
3. Mix 1 cup sour cream, 1 tsp lime juice and the Splenda or Sweet'n Low. After the Jell-O has set, spoon sour cream mixture on top. Refrigerate or serve.

3.6 grams protein and 3.6 grams carbs per serving. Makes 6 servings

Weather channel says:

White Christmas Probability

This map shows the probability of having at least one inch of snow on the ground on Christmas morning. Until the week before Christmas, this map is based on historical climatology. During the final days before December 25, the map provides an actual forecast for this year.

Good morning all! It is cold and snowy and windy here in NW IN.  I have my fajitas on in the crock pot. This is a wonderful recipe and really good for you with all of the protien in it. You can eat them in shells or on a plate, they are wonderful either way. Here is the recipe: Crock Pot Chicken Fajitas 4 boneless skinless chicken breast 1 packet taco seasoning 1can fat free refried beans 1 jar thick and chuncky salsa Put the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot. Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the chicken. I added a bit of thinly sliced onion on top of this but you don't have to. Spoon the refried beans over the top and smooth over the chicken. Top with salsa. You can cook this either on high or low. Top with cheese after this is done and melt a few minutes before serving.  I am not sure if I am going to church or not because of all the blowing snow. I live about 15-20 minutes away from church and the highway I go isn't always a good one in the winter. It looks like a blizzard out there.  I hope everyone has a safe and warm day today. If you need to go out be safe and may God's angels be there with you taking care of you.

Hi guys. My senior moment hit again!  I forgot to mention that when the fajitas are done and just before serving you shred the chicken with a fork.

Good morning! Man does it look cold out! Brrr! Needless to say, my bootie is staying inside where it is nice and warm! We too missed a party last night. Distance-wise, it was only about 15 minute drive for us (in good weather), but we were just too afraid to chance the roads with the other drivers. My tummy wouldn't have been able to handle any slide-offs or fender-benders. If Bill could have driven to where I could have kept a pillow in front of my tummy to protect it better, we probably would have went. We're staying in today too..Value City will just wait. I hope everything is cleared off for in the morning...I have to be at Dr. Gupta's at 9. I really hope I can find out something about the surgery date tomorrow. No..I didn't get a darn thing wrapped yesterday either. I ended up just lounging around all day. I have to keep reminding myself that my body is still trying to recouperate. I've gotten into doing Sudoko puzzles (thanks to Miss Ellen bringing me one while I was in the hospital...lol..I did that whole book and am on my 3rd one since then!). Yesterday, I'd work on a puzzle, and snooze for an hour..and repeat. Hopefully today will be better. I think my son is coming over today..if the buses are running. So I'll get some wrapping done then. Woo-hoo! He takes after me and isn't really a good wrapper, but he's willing and that says alot. Shoot...says more than it does about me right now! Haha! Pamela..that key lime mixture sounds good. I may try them in my phillo cups someday.  I hope everyone has a safe & warm day! Sherri

How is everyone??? I just wanted to tell Sherri about a suduko site that is free and I was addicted to it for months...www.websudoku.com It is GREAT!! It takes a while to get used to it, but I would send an email and challenge my friends to beat my score, Yeah we are ALL losers!!! It is timed so it makes it more interesting! I took Marisa and Logan out in the snow... Logan HATED it... Within 1 minute of being out there he fell face first in the snow... I had over 6 layers of clothes on both of the kids, so they were nice and warm... Marisa didnt want to come in... We ended up staying outside for about a half hour, and she kept making snow angel... She has never made a snow angel so she really liked it.... Well, I need to run and get Marisa back in bed... Talk to you guys later....

Morning all. It is beautiful here, there isn't that much snow, but we had tons of rain yesterday, and most of that has frozen, so we have small ice skating rinks everywhere! LOL We wound up with about 2" of snow. Just enough to make driving horrible.  I live in a valley, and it is going to be near impossible to get out to the highway. Uggh.  I am not looking forward to this, but we have to get out.  Today, the girls have play pratice at church, and then afterward, the girls have a birthday party to go to.   They are going to the new bowling alley in Paoli. They both love to bowl, so that is the perfect idea for them to do! I need to go get ready. I want to leave about 45 minutes early so I can figure the best way to get up the hill!!! Have a good day! Got Snow?  We do.  Too much of it (6 -8 in)and it is still snowing and blowing.  Think I'll just stay in today.  I need to go out and clean stalls in the barn. The cleaning will be easy, getting it out wil be hard. I have gifts to wrap, cards to make and address, and my DH wants me to make pumpkin rolls today for some Hoilday gift trays we will be giving out. Guess I have enough to keep me busy.  Doing a puzzle does sound like fun though. Yesterday I hosted our office christmas party. 15 adults and 10 kids from 14 to 1.  It was hectic but fun. I'm fortunate to have such a nice group of people to work with and thankful to be able to have a nice house to have it in. You all have a warm and safe day!

Good mornin' all! Well with close to 2 feet of snow outside my window, I guess I'll hang out here! We will be going to my folks for dinner around 2, but they're next door so it's no biggie. I guess there's a state of emergency and they're ticketing anyone that is out driving and doesn't have a plow on. somehow I have to figure out how to pick up my 'daughter' (foreign exchange student) later, she spent the night at a friends last night, stuck there actually after a afternoon party. I've got a plow on the truck so I at least won't get a ticket Trying to get in the Christmas spirit with Peter having to go to the Dr every week to check his blood counts. It's not easy, he goes in again on Wed and if his counts are low he will need another transfusion. Still waiting on a bone marrow match, may know more on Thurs. We hope he can get in for the transplant right after the new year, then maybe he will be home mid march so I can focus on the campground re-opening. That's best-case-scenario for us, but we'll take whatever we can get if it'll keep him from getting lukemia, doc is afraid that the longer it takes it will become lukemia.  Anyway, have a happy Sunday! Churches are all closed up here, so I'm listening to Christmas carols on CD still trying to get in the spirit. Looks like it will be a white Christmas this year afterall! TTFN Hope
