Anyone else out there having surgery around this time at St. Vincent in Carmel, IN? I am going to Dr. Gumpta. Excited, but man it is finally a reality and I will admit I am getting a little nervous.

Congrats on having a date.  I think dr Guptas group is great.  I think all the ladies in that group are very good at what they do.  You will be in great hands at St. V's.  Welcome !!!

Hi! Welcome to the board! Dr. Gupta is fantastic. And Mariah is right, that whole group is wonderful. I had started off with my consult with Dr. Jones but her waiting list was so long that I switched to Dr. Gupta...and have never regretted that decision! Since my RNY, I had many, many complications...but nothing as a direct result of the RNY surgery itself...just how my silly body behaves. During that course of time, Dr. Gupta and Dr. Cacucci has pulled me out of the proverbial frying pan several times. You can count on these talented, skilled ladies to be able to handle any curve that your body may give!  Several years ago, a 23 yr old girl was promoted to supervisor in my department. When I asked my supervisor why she was chosen over about 2 dozen people with more senority, I was told that it was because she has never had experienced any problems with anyone. I asked then, how do you know how she would handle a problem when it does come up then? He had no answer to that. As it turned out, she wasn't able to handle it very well at all and only remained in that position for less than a year. I put faith in people by how they handle problems when they do arise...because as we all know 'stuff happens'. For me, it REALLY happens! And when it does, I have 100% complete faith that Dr. Gupta and Dr. Cacucci can and will take care of it. I certainly hope that you will go through everything with flying colors and not a hint of problems..but you can rest assure that if anything does happen to come up, you are in excellent hands! Congrats on your date!! I second what was mentioned by some of the other ladies about that whole group! Especially Dr. Cacucci and Dr. Gupta. I've pretty much spoken to everyone on the phone and been admitted or seen by all the doctors in that group. They're awesome.
