Happy Friday to All!!!

Good morning all.  I know it is very early, but as you know, I am on my way BACK to Louisville for my LAST clearance!!!! Wooo Hoooo!!!  I am meeting with the vascular surgeon this morning to determine about the IVF.  As tired as I am right now, I wouldn't care if they put it in while I was sitting at the office! LOL I would just sleep thru the procedure! haha Yeah, right! Anyway, enough about me, now it is on to the weather!!!  We are now under a Winter Storm Watch!!!!  The NWS is calling from anywhere to flurries all the way up to over 5" of snow!!!! Along with this, there is supposed to be sleet and freezing rain!!! Wooooo Hoooo! Its beginning to look alot like Christmas!!!!! I am ready! I have the tubes out, and the pump right beside them to air them up if we get enough for the girls to go tubing down our huge hill!!!  At least it is cheaper than going to Paoli Peaks! hehe  I have my own right here, and it is FREE!  I just love winter, and will so even AFTER my surgery! I will just have to add about 40 layers of clothes by then, but thats ok!!! Ok, enough rambeling on, I have to get ready and go! It's Friday!!!!!!!!! I am up this early cause my 2 yo is cutting molars. It just so happens, she has a dentist appt. today, too. Wow that worked out well, huh. I feed her soft Mac n cheese and water and some children's Tylenol. My 15 yo just left to catch the bus. I should try to get back to bed, Bella is watching Booba, Ok those creatures creep me out. We are leaving tonite for Wabash, that is were our hotel is. We are supp. to get 4-5 inches of snow tonite/ tommorrow. Wouldn't be soo bad If I was home but I hate travel. in it. Ttyl Shanna

AHHH FRIDAY I LOVE IT AND JUST A LITTLE OVER A WEEK TILL CHRISTMAS. THAT MEANS A LITTLE CLOSER TO SPRING. LOL TO ALL THE NEW OH'ERS WELCOME AND NEW POST OPS CONGRATS . ITS A WONDERFUL THING.  DEPENDING ON WEATHER WILL DEPEND IF I GET OUT TO MY PARTIES THIS WEEKEND.  WELL ITS ABOUT THAT TIME FOR ME . THEY THINK I SHOULD WORK WHEN I AM HERE . Good morning!  I just heard on the TV that my area is in the 6-10 inches of snow.  I am so excited! I love the snow.  I was going to go shopping tomorrow to finish, but I will probably go this evening.  I just have a few more things to get my girls so it shouldnt be long.   Need to get some groceries as well, in case I get snowed in.  Well, everyone be careful if you have to get out tomorrow. Good morning! We may actually dodge the bullet up north here on the snow storm.  This would be the 3rd bullet we have dodged his season.... eventually it is going to hit us. This is my last day at work.  Surgery Monday.  I have to get all of my sub plans done.  I tried to find a band/orchestra sub but didn't have any luck.  These poor kids will have to watch videos for a week.  Actually right before the holiday break that will be ok.  I am VERY anxious... mainly of the unknown....I am ready to be on the losers bench and have the pain over with.  Have a good Friday!

Good morning! Well..I had my appointment with the Hemophilia center yesterday. Before, there had been alot of confusion on this whole blood clot deal even as to if I even had one or was it scar tissue that was in the scans. Their experts looked over everything, including all of the scans. Since that is one of the things they specialize in...deep vein thrombosis...they KNOW these scans and what is what in them. It was finally confirmed that yes, I had a blood clot in my leg and yes, I had one in my lung. They doubled my coumadin and actually told me what range my bloodwork should be in (2.0-3.0) which is something I couldn't get my family doctor to do. It had been only 1.2-1.4 for about 3 weeks and she didn't do anything at all to change it. They also put me on an injectable similar to lovenox..only it only gets injected once per day. I'm on it for 12 days...until they get the coumadin adjusted right. Aparently, if you adjust the coumadin very much without being on an injectable, THAT can cause blood clots. Hmmm...did not know that! Oh ladies..here's some info for you too... You know how they say that if you're on hormone replacements, your risk of heart attacks & strokes increase? Well, it's because they can cause blood clots! There was a huge concern because I'm on estrogen.  On our way home yesterday, we stopped at White Castle. It was the first time ince my RNY! For Bill, it was the first time since like 1992. Bill had been talking about having a taste for them for about a week so we decided what the heck. Bill got a case of cheeseburgers. I ate ONE and it totally filled me up! LOL! After we did that, we went home for awhile so I could recharge the battery of my wound-vac (and MY battery!) and then we went to Meijer's. I enjoyed shopping!! Woo-hoo! LOL! I still have alot more clothes to get the grandkids but I got a start now. I also got me a new coat..which I needed badly! Oh..and two more outfits that are tummy-friendly with my pooch. Today, is my grandson's Christmas program and hopefully, do a little more shopping. We WILL get it all done!! LOL! I'm also going to see if my son will come over & help me wrap. He's a pretty good helper for me (hey...Cindy & Angie..he's home! He got home this morning. I'll fill you in the next time we talk...k?). Well..gotta jump in the shower. The visiting nurse is suppose to be here between 9:30-10. I HOPE closer to 10. I slept in this morning from our big shop. lol. Huggs to you! Sherri

Hola Indiana Family!! I haven't heard anything about snow my way...but I also haven't looked in the paper or listened to the news. Perhaps I should do that! I would love to get some snow after all that rain. UGH I think I'm feeling better today. Earlier in the week it finally hit me and I broke down. Just went in my room and cried and cried. All the WLS events finally caught up with me I guess. It really is rough, but I know that it will be so worth it. I need to get some stocking stuff for my Momma's stocking. Not exactly sure what I'm gonna get yet. Guess I'll know when I see it. Also need to call Dr. Diaz's office in a bit to find out if I'm on any lift restrictions when I return to work Sunday night, and also if I can exercise yet.  Well, I wish everyone a Happy Friday!! I was on lift restriction for 3 wks. After that I could lift whatever I wanted.  I was not allowed to exercise until after my 6 wks post op visit.

Good morning, all. I have been up for a long time but been busy around here.  I had to take a couple of muscle relaxers last night for my back-I shopped and then shopped some more! lol I got a lot a lot done last night with my shopping trip with my sister. Now my neice called me last night and she wants me to go with her to Kohl's tonight and then she wants us to go to dinner. In her words she wants to "hang with my  favorite aunt". How can you say no to something like that? lol I got a pair of jeans yesterday. I wasn't sure of the size I needed and so I tried on a pair of 22's and they fit. The ones that I have had were streach jeans with the elastic waist. Now these are "real" jeans compleate with the button and zipper! I haven't been in them for so many years I can't remember what size they were!!!! I got a cute shirt too. My sister told me to look for tops and I told her that I needed the jeans more because you can get my with the shirts being a bit big and she gave me look and then told me that my tops needed to be smaller and I can't get by with them now! I was kind of surprised, then I looked at myself in a mirror and thought to myself that the shirt I had on was REALLY big!!!!!   Sometimes you need someones input but I was really surprised that it came from my sister. I think that we missed the snow but DH just told me that we are suppose to get 3" tomorrow. I have to take Misty my cat to the groomers tomorrow for her do! I need to get my do done too before the holiday!  I better get going. I have gone on and on for to long! Have a great day and stay warm and safe.
