WOW-it seems like I have been gone forever...

Hi Everyone, I wish that I could have made it to the ornament exchange, I was wanting to bring my angelette Gail, but she decided it probably was better for her and I wasn't feeling GREAT so I decided not to as well. Sounds like everyone had a great time and that I/we missed a great event! We are finally back home and the house is coming along, thank goodness! We have had several issues with the computer and just finally found out that it has something to do with VISTA, I am not computer literate so it is all greek to me, haha! Hopefully it is all worked out and that I will be able to continue being online and get back in the swing of things here on the Indy board! I feel like I have missed so much with everyonee, both old and new! How is everyone? I haven't been able to catch up on ALL of the post that I have missed, but I have been reading some! Sherri- glad your home and feeling better, hope your surgery days comes soon, and that all is better for you and that you are back to your normal healthy self, quickly!  Ellen, how are those babies? I was looking for pictures- did I miss em? Sam, Congrats on the upcoming wedding! To everyone,  The clothing exchange is coming along soon ! I hope that many were able to make plans to attend with it being posted so early this time! I know that the weather will play a big part for those coming from out of town, but hopefully it will allow many of us to get together and socialize once again! DAWN MY DEAR YOU HAVE BEEN MISSED. I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE BACK HOME NOW AND WELL THE PC ISSUE WITH VISTA LOL ALL I KNOW IS THAT PEOPLE I KNOW WHO HAVE VISTA END UP DUMPING IT AND RELOADING XP. I CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU AT THE EXCHANGE. I HAVE A LOT TO BRING BUT THEN I NEED A LOT TOO. Dawn, Welcome back. I've missed hearing from you. Hey...even the PC guy told the Mac guy that we went back to XP because of problems with Vista..LOL! I take it that your roadrunner is doing ok now? Most days I feel ok...just sick & tired of this stupid wound-vac. The visiting nurse comes on M-W-F to change the bandaging (which, I think I could do better than some of them) and to take blood. Woo-hoo..I get to take a shower on those days too! They have to keep a close eye on the blood because of the blood clots and they have me on coumadin. Thursday, I have an appointment with the Hemophillia & Thrombisis center at St. V's so they can try to regulate it better. I may be having a new pic line installed to make it easier to draw the blood. I'm a little on edge about that since I've been out every time I've gotten a pic in the past..and this time, I won't be. And then next Monday is my next appointment with Dr. Gupta..so we can try to persuade her (again) to call Dr. Bergman and get the next surgery moved up. We'll see. They'll be tag-teaming closing me up. The intestines are still swollen though so who knows. I plan on being at the clothing exchange. No idea what I'll bring yet..no clothes...sorry. But I've had requests to don my sugar-free tiara..lol. So..most likely something for the (sugar-free) sweet tooth.  See you then if not before! Sherri

Great to hear from ya Dawn, I can not wait til the CE. I have alot to bring as well. I have a closet full of 26/28 from the Avenue from when I worked there and they are dressy clothes. Suits, Dresses, pants etc. I never want to see that size again. LOL I can actaually get into my 22/24 comfortably now without squeezing into them. Yeah Love to meet you also. Shanna

Dawn, Welcome home.  It is nice to have you posting again.  Is the house totally done now?  Glad you were able to finally get in and somewhat settled before the holidays.  I read your post regarding Vista with interest.  I have just ordered a new Dell notebook and it comes with Vista.  I am a little concerned.  I am used to XP and would have preferred that system.  My son who is a computer major says no problem he can swap it out for me if I don't like the Vista.  He bought Vista and put it on one of his computers so when customers have issues with Vista he will have some experience with it.  Can someone remind me when the clothing exchange is?  I have not been able to come to one yet due to the distance but I have a closet full of clothes I need to move out and am in need of new sizes.  Tonight I bought a new outfit - size large top and 14 pants.  Started out in 4X tops and 26/28 pants.  Woo Hoo!! Yep, we are back home, the house is finished however the bathroom is needing redone as the walls look like they used crackle paint. Not sure why, but it is the only room that the paint cracked everywhere! Also the closet in the bath still smells of smoke- nowhere else in the house can you see any signs or hints of smell! Other than that it all seems to be coming together!

As far as Vista, I am not very good with computers. I know that we have been constantly complaining to the cable techs and finally someone mentioned Vista and what do ya know we have it and have had tons of problems, we need XP on this computer too, so for now my hubby just uses my sons for internet because it has Xp and his only has Vista!
