Hi All!! Just wanted to let everyone know that I have decided to drop Medicaid as secondary insurance. I just couldn't stand the thought of waiting 6 more mths. Sooo now I just need to lay down the smokes for 2 mths. and I will be good to go!!  Please pray that God gives me strength to fight this addiction so I can get back on the road to being healthier. YOU CAN DO IT!!!! Have you asked your FP to give you Chantix? It seems to really work. My Hubby quit and I never dreamt he would. EVER. Good Luck, it will be worth it.

That Chantix helped SEVERAL people who have told me they would smoke forever, and they quit with the stuff... I quit like 3 months ago and I am doing good(although I quit on my own)... It is hard but worth it... I realized I really didnt want the cigarette when I was having "cravings" It was my anxiety making me that way... not the cigarette. I have always felt the same way with and without the cigarettes... Another thing I realized is I dont stink and you will need money for new clothes after the surgery... My best suggestion is to put all the money you would spend on cigarettes in a jar labeled clothes fund or something like that... I know if you have something to look forward to when you quit that makes you want to quit more...

Kelly ask for chantix....Trust me when I say that it really works. My hubby and I both were very big smokers and smoked for many years and we both quit at the same time. i only had to take the first 2 packs and then I never needed anymore. The same for the hubby. You can do it. If I can you can.

Good Luck!!!

Thanks for all the words of encouragement. I am already taking the chantix. The problem seems to be that I used it last year to quit (6 mths smoke free) but it doesnt seem to be working this time.
