The Christmas Party

WELL WE ARE HOME FROM THE CHRISTMAS PARTY FOR ST. V'S AND IT WAS VERY NICE. EVERYONE LOOKED SMASHING. SEEING A FEW OLD FRIENDS AND MET  COUPLE MORE. TO EVERYONE THAT WAS THERE JIM AND I WISH YOU ALL THE VERY BEST CHRISTMAS . SOME I WONT SEE AGAIN TILL THE CLOTHING EXCHANGE AND A LOT I WILL SEE AT THE ORNIMENT EXCHANGE.  I HAD A WONDERFUL TIME VICKI

I cant wait until I get to meet all of you guys... I am soooooo excited about meeting you guys... Speaking of the exchange, do you think mac and cheese is ok to bring? What does everyone think??  This is what is in the recipe... 1 to 1 1/2 pounds of Velvetta Regular 1/4 pound of American Deli Deluxe brand cheese 1 or 2 pound of elbow noodles(have to look at the box I bought) 2% milk butter(I can sub I cant believe its not butter) Salt and pepper to taste... Is this something you guys can eat? I want everyone to be able to eat it, and I dont want to make you guys sick from the fat content... So What you think?

I personally avoid mac & cheese because pasta causes real problems for me with me being hypoglycemic but IF I were going to make it, I would use the following:

Velvetta light (which, I do use and enjoy with grilled cheese, etc) Fat free American cheese whole wheat pasta skim milk light butter Yep, there is a lighter, less fat/less calorie version of all of the ingredients. The more you stay in the mind-set of lightening up your recipes, the better off you will be pre & post op. Sherri

Ok, I will make it that way.... Does that sound ok?? My mom cant handle mac and cheese either since her surgery... Is there going to be anyone that can eat it? do you think it is a good thing? What brand has a good Whole wheat pasta? That is another one of my concerns...

Barilla PLUS has a great whole wheat pasta (it's in a yellow box) and it's got protein in it too.

Thanks... I wil try it... I cant gaurantee it will be the best thing I have ever made... so I hope it turns out ok... If not its becauseI am learning how to cook and eat healthy...

OMG WOW did I have a great time at the party!!!!!!!!!!!  I met alot of my Indiana Posse...LOL It was great seeing y'all. Y'all looked MARVY!!!!!!!! OMG was it snowing on the way back home!  I bet we have 1 inch already! We are suppose to get maybe 5 inches before this is all over... I KNOW...y'all have to get out and drive in it...but its soooooooooo pretty! I love it!   Y'all be really careful in the mornin' on your way to work!

Janene I LOVED hangin with you tonight!! I'm sorry I wasn't more upbeat heh I just wasn't feeling sooooo great!!! It was awesome meeting y'all!!!!!

Misty....I had a GREAT time with you and your hubby too! We left right after y'all did...and a good thing we did...the weather turned snowy when we hit Westfield....and there was an accident at our exit home....no one was hurt I don't think.... the roads were covered with snow the closer we got to Wabash.  So looks like a snowy night for us...we just might get that 5 inches!
