Greetings from Minnesnowta

Hello, I'm a WLS guy from MN.  I just thought I would stop by and say hi.  I'm coming to Indianaopolis for a week starting on Sunday.  The Minnesota group is extremely social and I am wondering if that is also the case on the Indiana forum.  I am not going to have a car, but I'll be staying downtown.  I've never been there before.  Anyone up for a glass of wine or cup of coffee on Sunday night?  Friday night? (the 14th)....

I hope you enjoy our little Big city. I take it that you are coming on business..and staying downtown, some sort of conference. Am I right? lol. Our town is kinda known for it's conference capabilities.

Our Indiana group, the Hoosier Losers, are also a very social group of people. In fact, we're having an Ornament Exchange this Saturday. It's a shame you won't be here until Sunday. When will you be flying home? We aren't much into wine but we don't mind impromptu dinners so I wouldn't be surprised at all if you get an invitation or two to join in on a dinner. Right now, I'm a little out of the game when it comes to a lot of socializing (medical issues, long story), but I'm sure others would be happy to make your acquaintenance. Sherri

Yes, a conference.  The conference is actually at the University but I'm staying at the Marriott.  Your ornament exchage sounds fun, too bad I'll miss out.  I'm flying home on Sat the 15th late AM.  I have the lap band and right now I can't eat much, so I always find conferences a challenge.  I cringe when I hear "all you can eat for 15 bucks" buffet that others are excited about.  For me, that is not a very good deal.  I have to pay in advance for an all you can eat lunch for each day of my conference.  They will certainly come out ahead on that one.  But if I could grab some extra protein for supper, I'll come out ahead:) Paul

I wish I was going to be in Indy next week so my hubby and I could join you.  We love to go to the Slippery Noodle Inn!  Great music!  I recommend you find it for that glass of wine.  You won't be sorry.  Ask your hotel for directions.  It's not far from anywhere!  I'm sooooo jealous! Paul,   Welcome to our fair city. Glad to hear from you. Downtown if FAbuluos. I love it. You must hit circle center mall, one of our fine museums on the White river. You are in luck, also. We have the circle of lights up now down on the circle.My husaband And I took our 2 yo and 15 yo last week and walked around it and sipped coffee and hot choc. (for me SF Pumkpin Spice Decaf w? splenda)Take a carriage ride and have a blast. I will be working friday but have a great time. shanna
