Just starting the thread since I am wiiiide awake. Darn this insomnia stuff I wish I knew what to do lol. I'm soo sleepy but cannot sleep. Hope everyone has a good day today! I am so excited about being able to make it to the ornament exchange. I'm still debating if I am going to the St V's Christmas party too. I might though :) Have a good weekend.

Hope everyone has a great day! I have tons of shopping to get done before this weekend. And none of it is Christmas presents either! LOL  I am on the ball this morning. I got all of my papers in from the hospital and drs offices to get ready for next week or two for all the pre-op tests and registration. Guess what I will be doing on every break at work today!?!? lol  Oh well, at least I will be able to get them all filled out and mailed in ASAP.  I think there are 21 pages total......from all the places that I have to go to, to fill out!  I will have writers cramps for sure! LOL Have a wonderful day and weekend! TTYL

Good morning all

First all, Misty I hope you get you insomnia problem taken care of.  Have they given you any thing to help you sleep?  If not, maybe you could ask for something.

Lachelle~ I hope you dont get your hand cramped too bad filling out all those papers.  But at least they are papers for the surgery and not papers to start this whole process.

Nothing going on with me today, just working.  Getting the EMS station decorated for Christmas.  Our Christmas party is 12/8, so that next week will be pretty busy getting awards figured out and such.  Glad it is only once a year.

Everyone try to stay warm and have a good day.

Jenny

They gave me a couple different kinds of sleeping pills when I was in St V's last and 1 of them didn't do anything it was called restaril or something like that?? I fell asleep for like 2 hours after taking it but was up by 2 am and couldn't get back to sleep. The other one they gave me I think was Ambien (I'm not sure on this I forget now) and it made me very very disoriented and dizzy. I actually fell getting out bed and everything with this one. It was odd and I never could thoroughly wake up the rest of that day.

I deal with insomnia also.  Seems like 3 or 4 days a week I am awake at 3 AM no matter when I go to sleep. I did a fitness test at NIFS here yesterday and got good news.  My body fat has gone from 35% to 12.4%.  I weigh 198.5 lbs from 341.  The Pod Bod result says that I have now normal body fat and to get to lean I have only 8 lbs excess body fat left so it looks like I will weigh about 190 and have 9% body fat which is right at the low range. I need to do more aerobic work and upper body but that is easy enough to work on. I am so bless. God is good. We won't be able to make the ornament exchange but will be at the Christmas party. E

Good morning everyone!

Bill's eye appt went ok yesterday. Dr. Price saw an abnormalty (kinda like a little scratch) on the artificial cornea so they put in a soft contact and Bill has to use an antibiotic in it for 3 weeks. Hopefully, that will clear up his vision a little bit. Of course, my wound-vac had to be noisy in that very quiet examining room and I'd get 'what's that noise' by each of his staff that came in there.

I called & left a message for Heather yesterday asking if she could see if Dr. Gupta & Dr. Bergman could/would be able to move the surgery date up to being in 2007. I explained how the insurance is going to change 1/1/08 and it would cost me big $ to wait those 2 weeks. I haven't heard back from her so I'm hoping that's a good sign and she's trying to get it all set up.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of you who can make it to the upcoming events. I wish everyone was allowed to go to the St. V's party..but I guess the Ritz would definately be way too small then! It's getting a little bit too much smaller each year as it is.

Misty...Are you still on loratab for pain? It got to where it gave me insomia. I had (now, I'm NOT recommending you do this..I'm just telling you it's what I did..ok???) cut my PM dose in half and take a half of a dose of Nyquil with it. Nyquil does a fantastic job at putting the ZZ's in full force! The next time I needed pain meds, I also asked for something else because of the insomia and I recieved liquid vicodin. I still resort to the Nyquil now & then if I'm having a REALLY hard time falling asleep. You just don't want it or anything else become habitual. E...I'm so sorry you and Becky won't be able to make it to the ornament exchange. My daughter & I will be at St. V's party though so we'll see you there! Are you feeling ok since you got out of the hospital? You all have a super fantastic Friday!!! Keep your fingers crossed that Heather will give me a call today. Huggs!! Sherri

I don't take the Lortab much maybe once or twice a week at most and the pain has to get very very bad. Otherwise I still take liquid tylenol. I've got a prescription for Vistiril (which is a strong benadryl) and I took a couple last night and got to sleep finally but I've tried that before and it didn't work. Funky heh I guess I'll clarify that the Vistiril is an anti histamine that is used to help treat nerve issues and the ER here gave it to me for "anxiety" (I was having an allergic reaction to a medication actually though because the next time that med was given to me in a shot I ended up in anaphylaxis just about and had to be sent to the hospital for watching after they got it settled down). They diagnose EVERYTHING as anxiety though. I know that sounds funny but it's soo true I can be having a full fledge asthma attack and it's automatically anxiety. A good friend of mine's 10 year old had an asthma attack and it was called anxiety LOL. I think a good part of my lack of sleep is stress somewhat though because I've been stressing out about EVERYTHING around here lately.

Hey everyone... I am super excited... I won a $100 Marsh gift card last night... I couldnt believe it... I am a WalMart shopper so it will be weird to shop at Marsh... and I also have $5 off coupons and all you have to do is spend $30... They are on the computer if anyone is interested I can send you a link...  So, yeah, this will help out with food for Logan birthday and Christmas food and candy...  Hey, I have a question... If I do decide to go to the Christmas party what do I need to bring??? I am trying to move around things for Logans birthday, maybe to Sunday, so I can come. I dont know if I can go or not... but I should know by Monday... Well, I hope everyone has a good Monday!!!

Hello all,.. how are you doing? I'm really disappointed. I asked for next Saturday off from Sears, and I got scheduled anyway. I couldn't find anyone to take the shift, so I can't go to the ornament exchange. Such is life, I guess. I know some of the people would just call off, but I'm not like that. I try to be dependable, as much as I can be. I'm scheduled Tuesday the 4th too, so I can't be at the St. V party either. I should know, it would be hard to get off around Christmas in a retail job.  We are getting a delivery tonight. We got the kids each a drum set for Christmas early. Mikey a regular sized one, and Maggie a junior one. They are so excited. It was so cute seeing them both playing drums together in the music store when we ordered them. Our neighbors are going to love us! Lol. Mikey's going to go back to drum lessons. Maggie's too young though.
