Itchy

My daughter woke me up this morning at 4am itching, red welps all over and swollen face. I found some benadryl and rubbed it on her. I called the dr. first thing and got her in, found out she has strep throat!! The strep was working it  way out through her skin instead of the classic sore throat, fever, which I had Fri., and sat. I also found out I too have strep so we are both on meds now.

Whoa, that's pretty crazy.  Never heard anything like that before.  I wish you and your daughter both a speedy recovery!

I remember those days. Mariah, a couple years ago, did that. The itching and redness was the ONLY effects that she had from the strep throat. Talk about weird!!!  It makes it a little easier tho, since the throat doesn't burn like normal. At least it did for Mariah. Hope you both are feeling better really soon!

Hope you and your daughter get to feeling better fast.  There is nothing worse then seeing your child being so sick and there is not much you can do.  Then on top of that the parent being sick doesnt help, because you just dont feel much like doing anything either.  Dont forget to dring plenty of fluids (both of you).
