Good Monday Mornin'

WOW I can't belive I am the one starting the monday post!!!!  I am NEVER up this early !!!!!!!  Oh well...I had a GREAT weekend...we got the tree up and decorated and the outside decorated...and I DID 3/4 of it this year!!!!!!!!!  The last 2 years I have not been able to do any of it...so this is a PLUS year for me since WLS!!!!!1  yeeeeeehaaaaaaaaw....I had such a good time!  Also got all my Christmas shopping done....and today I am wrapping!!!!   I hope y'all have GREAT days....be safe and stay dry!!!!!!! Hi all! I was pretty busy this weekend. I didn't get much chance to read and write. I hope you all are doing well. I had a great holiday weekend. Thursday, we had my parents and my mother-in-law over. We ate, drank, played games, and were generally merry. Today's back at work, though. Sigh. To bad for not winning the powerball, lol! I could handle being independently wealthy! The bad news is our daycare lady is sick again. She's been in ICU for a week. They have determined her pancreatitis is chronic. She's been in an induced coma for a week, so they can treat her. We decided this time, we're going to have to find different childcare. It breaks my heart, but she's going to keep getting so sick, probably, if this is chronic. THey think it's related to her diabetes. She's a childhood diabetic. I'm really worried about her pulling through this time, since she seems to be so very sick. So we talked to the place the kids went during the summer, and they have openings. They are going to be going back there. It was a good daycare. I feel comfortable with them there.

Woo-hoo! Going to see Dr. Gupta today! I have my fingers crossed that she'll schedule the surgery. I'm still ~1.5" bigger in the waist than I was pre-plastics so maybe not....but one can hope, right? To think, last Wednesday, I was 4" bigger...so 2.5" lost in 5 days. We'll see anyway. The poor skin on my belly absolutely hates this tape that's used for the wound-vac. They can't use any other kind of tape in order to get a good seal. They've ordered some skin prep that acts as a barrier but it has yet to come in. The foam they use is also chewing up the good skin around the opening. They've ordered some other foam too but it also hasn't come in yet. Too much longer on this wound-vac and Dr. Gupta isn't going to have very much 'good' skin to be able to sew into! I'm hoping she'll at least see what the whole wound-vac thing is doing to my skin and go back to a bandage. It has to be changed daily by the visiting nurses instead of 3x a week but at least with it, they use paper tape and it's kinder to my skin. I started updating my Christmas labels yesterday. I put all the addresses in Word so that I can use the purchased sheets of labels with the Christmas background when doing my Christmas cards. When I get them all addresses done, I'll send it out to those on the Directory so that you can use it too if you'd like. It sure saves alot of time rather than filling out the envelopes by hand! And it my case..it's more polite for the folks at the post office because my hand writing is horrible! I still have to get out to our shed and see if I can find my stash of cards. I'm betting they're in with my wrapping stuff...and it all needs to come inside too. Bill did a little bit of decorating yesterday. He has these Christmas 'balls' that is basically tons of lights arranged in a ball-shape. His dad had made 3 of them ~20 something years ago. His mom & dad had one, he had one, and his sister got the 3rd one. When we bought our house from his mom, she gave us theirs so we had 2. One of them decided it wasn't going to work anymore yesterday...so now we just have the one. I hated to see that happen since he has so little from his dad. Other than that, he also sets out a little ceramic tree on the bar on the back porch. Then, he considers us 'decorated'. LOL! This year, I think he just may be right. Well..time to get ready. Hey everyone... Logan got his tubes in the ears today... He was soo cranky afterwards... which is understandable. But yeah, we got home and Logan walked in the play room to get his sister and was sooo mad because she was not there. THis is the first time he has been here without her. Since he had this done he cant eat real food for 6 hours... Luckily he slept 4 hours of it  and he can have juice. He now has a bad cough and sneeze so this is going to be a fun week I am sure... I just hope hes not sick on his birthday!! Sherri I sent all my info to you guys about the directory... Did my info get received? If not I am sending it to you so it can get forwarded to the right people. Ir eally appreciate it...

Good Morning all. It is a rainy day here in the hills. I didn't sleep much at all last night either, so I am hoping that once I talk to Glenna this morning, my sleep habits will change drastically. I really want to have this surgery done soon, and with only 35 days left in this year, I need to get them on the ball! LOL Hope everyone has a great day. GOOD MORNING ALL,                 I , TOO , HAVE ALL MY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING DONE. HAVE ALL THE DECORATIONS OUT IN THE LIVING ROOM AND MOST OF IT DONE EXCEPT THE TREE. WE ARE GOING TO GET THAT NEXT WEEKEND. I JUST LOVE A REAL TREE.

I CANT WAIT TO SEE EVERYONE AT THE  EXCHANGE. JIM AND I GOT OUR ORNIMENTS SO WE ARE READY. AS MUCH AS I LOVE THE HOLIDAYS , SOMETIMES I AM GLAD WHEN THEY ARE OVER. POOR JIM GOT CALLED FOR JURY DUITY TODAY, HE ISNT A HAPPY CAMPER REALLY, BUT AT LEAST ITS A BREAK FROM THE BLAH MONDAYS AT HIS JOB. AS FOR ME I AM GLAD TO BE BACK TO WORK TODAY. 4 DAYS AT HOME IS WAY MORE THEN ENOUGH .  WE FOUND OUT THAT MY DAUGHTER IS HAVING A LIL BOY , SHE IS DUE IN MID MARCH. STILL SEEMS STRANGE TO CALL MY SELF GRANNY AT 43(ALMOST44)

Good morning all! It is back to work for me today as well. I didnt get a break for the holiday. I worked on call Thursday so at least I was able to be at my parents house, but if we would have gotten an ambulance call I would have had to rush to the station and leave my family.  But thankfully, no calls!   I have been really gassy since about Friday.  I hadnt been able to release it, but I started on the gas x Strips and I think it is finally starting to ease up.  I was really hurting in my stomach. Yesterday almost considered calling the doc because I wasnt real sure what it was. But since the Gas X strips are working I am thinking it is gas.   I ate at Applebees yesterday, it is very hard for me to eat out.  Since I cant drink liquid with my food.  I had the smothered chicken, mashed pot. and the veggies, of course I only ate a little amount and brought the rest home.  When I asked for a box, the waiter said you hardly ate anything. I kind of chuckled inside and said I know, I am just stuffed.  So I had that for supper again last night.   Almost have my shopping done, I just have a little more to get for my kids and that is all.  I think I am going to online shop today. Happy Monday!  I agree with Vicki, 4 days at home was plenty!  I had a great Turkey Day and got to sample a little bit of everything.  I got a great email from Bariatric Eating the day before Thanksgiving talking about the 3 bite rule in regard to startches: 1 to taste, 2 to make sure, 3 to savor because it's your last!  I followed that and was completely satisfied.  My mom made me a delicious sugar free pumpkin pie with sugar free cool whip.  What a treat!   Mom and I were up at the crack of dawn on Friday (4 AM!) to tackle the Black Friday sales.  We were done by 8 AM.  I got the majority of my shopping done that day and finished it up yesterday.  It's so nice to be done!  All I have to do is wrap and bake now.  I also got the house decorated for the holidays.  This is our first Christmas living in our house (last year were were painting/repairing) so I went all out.  I just love this time of year! Hope everyone has a great Monday and doesn't get too wet!  Can't wait for the ornament exchange!!  Sam

Good Morning everyone...     Yucky Monday here in camby/Indy. I ran out this morning to pay a bill and check out Goodwill..(My bad habit) I love finding awesome deals. I am off today...Yeah. I had to work sat. and sun so I am of  today. I feel the need to put blonde chunky highlights in my hair today..How fun.       Monday weigh in today. 263.6. for Breakfast cream of wheat (strawberries and cream yum) and sugar free grape koolaid.     -21 pounds. I can tell I am staring to slow down though..My 3 month PCP visit is next week. My insurance changes over in January, so just biding my time. I do not even know what they cover but I keep doing what I am doing and we will see what happens. I stll have 133 pounds to go.    have a good Monday, i htink I am going to do something productive.(i hope I do )
