Sunday morning...

Good morning everyone! Oh did I sleep lousy last night! This darn wound-vac was noisy all night long! I tried sleeping with the TV on and the TV bothered me. I tried my MP3 and it bothered me! Finally, I put the wound-vac in the fish aquarium cabinet by the couch and closed the door! It drowned out the sound a little bit. I have a headache now!! Grrrr. I SO hope I can get rid of this thing soon! Woo-hoo...lost another pound! 3 more pounds and I will be of a NORMAL BMI!!! That will be for the first time in my life! 5 more pounds and I will have lost an even 200 lbs! Doesn't WLS just rock!?!?! Now to get rid of all my swelling so I can get into my clothes. Right now, I'm having to wear medium size elastic waisted pants. I've also been wearing Bill's 2XX shirts so that they are loose around my belly because of the swelling there. I tried a few days ago to get into a pair of my pre-plastic size 10 jeans and there is no going there right now. The thighs (from the thigh lift) and belly both are too swollen for that to happen. You'd think that being 18 lbs less than I was pre-plastics that I'd at least be able to get into those clothes, huh? Ah well, eventually the swelling will go down and I'll be able to wear normal clothes again! I think I'm going to have to have Tiffany take me shopping this week on her days off so I can get something to wear to the St. V's party (if we go). I'm NOT showing up there in sweat pants! I just hope I can show up there without the darn wound-vac. I REALLY hope I can be back into MY clothes by the ornament exchange! At LEAST the clothes I wore pre-plastics! Speaking of ornament exchange...can't wait to see you all who plan on going!! Marianne... Annette... plan on coming? We can compare scars..lol. E..are you Becky going to be able to make it? Dawn? Cindy? Ellen...can't wait to see you & Dana! I know, the list can go on & on! I hope to see all of you there who can make it! OH!! Floyd & I were talking and he was telling me about a website that is a pretty neat site to go through to arrange things like secret pals. I asked him to send me the info if he doesn't have time to set it up for us and I'd work on getting it set up. We both feel that it would be the perfect tool to use for that. We'll let you know once it is set up and what we'd need you to do in order for you to be included in the Secret Pal for 2008. It would make it to where you would not have to be present at the ornament exchange in order to be included! Also, the names would be totally random and no one but YOU would know whose name you have. Well...you and the program itself..lol. I hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend. It's suppose to start raining this afternoon/evening so good luck being able to finish up any outdoor activities before it rolls in. Me? I'm staying here in the house with my eh so noisy vac! Sherri

sunday morning here stinks...............we all have colds and the littlest one has the flu...........I am suppose to work every day this week and I dont know how its going to go if everyone is sick...UGH!!!! I myself have a horrible cold and im taking something for it but its not fully doing the trick...........im pushing fluids like mad.............suppose to get first fill this week 2.........CRAZYYYYYYYY WEEK AHEAD .....EVERYONE have a great sunday

Hey lady... You shouldnt miss your dance because you cant wear "your" clothes. I know it sucks but go buy something that will fit you... Everyone understands... and alot of people have had those vac things and other objects hanging out of them at times... Dont miss a time to hang out with friends... You will regret it... Not trying to be rude or nothing... but I know my mom really enjoys going to those things.... I cant go because I am not a St. Vs patient... but I have heard so many cool things about those.  O have you ever tried those head phones that are the big bulky 1980 ones... They are great for blocking sound... IF you have a wireless set you should plug them into the TV and it should block out the sound...  If not put some cotton in the ears... maybe that will help... I can only imagine how excited you must be to have lost almost 200 lbs. I would be happy with 50 right now... of course that is never enough... you know how it is... I think I am going to really try to lose weight before my surgery... I have been working out(well I did twice since Thursday) but I have also been cleaning nonstop for 3 days... and havent been eatting as much... I am actually proud of myself... And I got the tree and stocking up... Once I get the inside done which will be today or tomorrow I am putting up my 8 ft blow up pooh and tigger(gotta love garage sales--I got them both last summer brand new for $5 a piece). I have taken out 4 bags of toys and stuffed animals the kids have outgrown out and I am giving them to Salvation Army cuz most are brand new and talk, but I am tired of all the things my daughter dont play with!! So yeah.. I hope everyone has a Great Sunday... I am going to get started soon on cleaning... Megan

I have a pair of ear plugs that I'm going to try tonight. I didn't last night because they were in our bedroom and I didn't want to wake Bill up (I'm sleeping on the couch right now because our waterbed is just a no-no with the whole belly thing going on). I'm one who prefers complete silence to sleep. It doesn't help that I'm also a very light sleeper.

It all depends on what Dr. Gupta says tomorrow as far as the surgery date to close the belly opening as to if I'll be able to make it to the St. V's party. I've went every year since my surgery so I'd hate to miss it. If the surgery is this week, I should be able to go to it I think. If she waits a few weeks yet, I'll be able to go, but I'd still have the wound-vac...so the clothing I shop for will be different than if I don't have the wound-vac anymore. All I know is I'm not gonna show up in sweats..lol. Trust me, I would NOT miss this just because I can't fit into anything in my closet right now. I have a darn good reason why none of it fits and all of my FRIENDS understand that..and those who don't understand it? They aren't my friends and I don't care what they think! I have this cute size 8 outfit that I had planned on wearing before all of this happened. Ah well, I'll find a different occation to wear it to once the swelling goes down. Sherri

I know how ecstatic I am over losing 28 lbs., I cant imagine how I'd feel losing almost 200!!!!  Good Job!!!!

Good Morning All, I dont feel so hot myself, didnt sleep, and I add a lot of mind clutter going on. I hope all gets better for us and this turns out to be a good day. We can only pray an wish. Happy Sunday everyone!  I didn't sleep very well last night either...must have been something in the air.  I don't feel too bad today though.  I'm trying to stay off the scale until I see the doc again on the 29th, but I "accidentally" fell on it today...hahaha 15 lbs!  WOOHOOOO!  I'm so excited! I gotta go get something in this belly.  I hope everyone has a great day!

Sheesh I agree with Erin something must be in the air. I haven't slept well in a few days and I'm just plum exhausted!!! I'm coming down with a nasty cold. I don't feel the best either I been getting these funky little twinging pains every so often in my belly and around my gtube area. Part of it I think is from all the heaving yesterday!! I had a couple really good/decent days and then yesterday was plum awful. BUT I had good days and sooo I'll take the 2 steps forward 1 step back instead of vice versa. Anyways I hope everyone has a good rest of the day!!! Sherri, I am praying and keeping my fingers crossed that you get good news tomorrow!!! Congrats on almost 200 lbs! Thats awesome.
