Good morning everyone! I feel so much better than I did yesterday. For some reason, my tummy was all goofy after the wound-vac change on Monday until last night. It feels ok right now...of course, I'll be having the wound-vac changed again today so let's hope it doesn't throw it into being stupid again! I'm getting to where I look forward to wound-vac change days...I get to take a shower on those days! LOL! I really DO try to make postives out of negatives whenever I can!! haha! I got my 24 lb turkey all cut up yesterday. Bill & I both prefer dark meat so I have a bag of it all ready to cook tomorrow. The rest, I froze. I have a few meals-worth cut up like stew meat and 6 bags of white meat, sliced. Plus of course the drumsticks in a bag of their own. I also have a container of meat/broth that I boiled the meat off the bones. Nothing goes to waste on a turkey for me! I have about a dozen meals worth out of that one turkey. Not too bad. I know I should have passed up the urge to do this this year, but at $1.99 a pound??? I could not do that! LOL!  It took me about 4 hours to cut it up because I'd do a little bit, and rest, repeat. But I counquered the bird!!!! Woo-hoo! Haha!! Oh..I also have a box of stovetop & a jar of gravy (for Bill), cans of asparagus, salad, and pickled beats (for me) for tomorrow. I even picked Bill up some pecan pie slices from the freezer section (there's 2 slices/box...perfect for Bill!!).  So...I think our T-Day is all lined out! No...we don't do potatoes every since I became hypoglycemic...so no yams. Ellen...thank you sweetie for the e-card! I hope you & Dana have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow. Kylie..thank you for the cards. I tend to forget that our anniversary is Saturday. Bill, at one time, had thought about surprising me with a trip to Vegas. I'm so glad (and so is he!!) that he backed off of making those arrangements! That would had been way too much $$ down the drain. We are going to 'celebrate' next week...Bill's mom & boyfriend are going to take us to Red Lobster next Wednesday so we can celebrate it. Now, THAT works just fine to me this year! LOL! I DO love my seafood! You all have a terrific day today! Sherri

Next time you want to cut-up the flesh of dead animals let me know I will give you lessons.  Did that for a living for awhile.  I can cut and debone a turkey in 3 minutes with a sharp knife.  Becky is amazed how easy it looks and how fast the turkey cooks when it is not whole. PS the New York times web site has a butcher video showing how to carve a turkey for you that want to know the easiest way.  Works the same after it is cooked as when it is raw.  Have a blessed holiday. Hahaha!! You know, you reminded me of Locke on Lost every since the first time I met you. "Next time you want to cut-up the flesh of dead animals let me know I will give you lessons." is exactly how Locke would have worded it as well as definately be able to do! I THOUGHT my knife was sharp until I got busy with that bird. I think my sharper set is in the RV. I guess I need to have them sharpened (that or get me a different set through Pampered Chef..lol). I am sooooo glad it's Wednesday.  I am ready for the long weekend.  I still get sooooo tired.  It's been four weeks on Friday so I guess I'm supposed to be tired.  Plus the ketosis thing....ahhhh.

I get to go ahead to my next phase of foods tomorrow.  My official 4 weeks isn't up until Friday but the NUT told me at my 1 wk post op visit that it won't matter if it's one day.  I'm soooo  looking forward to eating some turkey.  I can't believe how much I've missed meat!  I'm a bit scared about it though.  I don't want to get something stuck in front of my entire extended family!  Wouldn't that be great? I have a meeting at 10:00 then another right afterwards.  I'm hoping to get out of here early after them.   Hubby is singing tonight at our Thanksgiving Eve service at church.  I LOVE to hear him sing.  Makes me fall in love all over again! Have a great Thanksgiving everyone.  Please know that I am so thankful for each of you. Blessings, Jacqui

Happy Wednesday Everyone Happy ThanksGiving!!!! I haven't been on much due to being continuously sick with a bacterial sinus infection. That and the new baby have kept me pretty busy. We are having a Thanksgiving dinner tonight w/Matt, I, Q, Gage and our mothers. Then Gage leaves tonight to go to his dad's till Sunday. Matt, I and Q are going to ILL to Matt's dad's side of the family so that they can finally meet Q. We got Quinntin's Christmas pictures taken last weekend. He looked so cute in his Santa Hat and christmas outfit. Next week we'll get family pictures taken. I've had two refills in my band since giving birth to Q seven weeks ago. I'm consitently hoovering at 169 - 167 lbs. I'm not sure if I want to go tighter and have less food restriction or stay where I am and be happy with this weight. I'm still in need of finding how to incooperate an exercise program into my day with all that I do around the house and with Q. I miss jogging.... hoping to pick that back up this spring though. Hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving.
