IU Bariatric/Dr. Gomez???

I am going through IU Bariatric Weight Management Center and was wondering after you have submitted all your paperwork to the insurance, how long does it take to get your surgery.. I am done with my appointments in January and then I will submit all my paperwork and wondering on how long after I will have surgery... How did everyone else like Dr. Gomez? I have never met him and just wondering how he was... I have heard from the office staff he is really nice though... Just wondering... If anyone has any experiences good or bad will you please add... Thank you Megan

Megan, i have heard nothing but good about Dr. Gomez. I have a couple of friends who went to him. Now the other doctor that works with him Dr. Simmons I believe is his name is let's just say he has no bed side manner. He is the first doctor that I seen when i was chceking out RNY, I wanted Dr. Gomez but he was so booked up it would have been over a month before I could have just gotten an initial appointment with him. So I decided to look elsewhere and that is how I came upon Dr. Clark and it worked out for the best for me, I love Dr. Clark. Dawn
